The Washington post recently ran a story about all of these Trump supporters who do not want to take the COVID 19 vaccine, but one of them stands out more than any other person they interviewed. It's an 80 year old woman from Oklahoma, who they identified as Margaret and Margaret says that she is not going to take that. Gosh, darn COVID vaccine, because Donald Trump himself personally didn't develop it. Scientists did it. She said it wasn't Trump, the scientists did it. And so can we trust it? I mean, if Donald Trump himself, isn't in a lab with some beakers and test tubes and mixing chemicals, can you really trust what's in the vaccine? Um, well, Margaret, uh, I would think that would make people more likely to take it. Like if you had told me that Donald Trump was the one in the lab, uh, putting this chemical cocktail together to make the vaccine, I wouldn't take it.

Okay. I really would not, I don't trust that man, as far as I could throw him. And he's a very heavyset gentleman. I do not believe that I could throw him at all. So this is a bit ridiculous. Right? And of course, Margaret story here is obviously the most extreme case because, Hey, not everybody's saying they're not going to take it because Trump didn't develop it, but they still don't want to take it. Uh, there's no microchips in it. I've I've been vaccinated now. Um, thankfully my wife has, uh, no microchips and either of us were, we're not suddenly compelled to go out and buy Microsoft products. I'm not getting pop-up advertisements for Microsoft in my dreams from bill Gates. Those aren't things that happen. Uh, we didn't have any disastrous side effects. We're still here, obviously. It's okay. And we can't as a country reach that herd immunity point. If we don't get enough people vaccinated, because the other way to reach the herd immunity is for people to actually contract the disease that has now killed more than 525,000 Americans. Sometimes you got to just trust the scientists, not just on the issue of vaccines. Climate change is another one of those areas too. We should probably listen to the people who actually do this for a living.

We have to reach these people. Okay. I know it's fun to sit here and laugh at people like Margaret. And I do kind of feel bad for her, right? She's 80 years old. You know, she she's clearly been kind of brainwashed by the Trump cult, but the rest of the folks in this article are not 80 years old, right? These are average everyday, the person working next to you, Republicans who say, I don't want to take it. I don't trust it.

Tried to hide the fact that he got vaccinated back in January and that's not an accident. He likes this. He wants people to think that he is this big, bad, tough guy. And you can be too, and you don't need no stinking vaccine. And he survived COVID so you can to ignoring the fact that he literally had the best possible treatments with the best possible doctors in the entire country, keeping him alive. That's what we do for any president of the United States. His supporters don't want to don't want to process those facts. They don't want to think about all of that, all, everything that happened behind the scenes for it. So maybe if it makes them feel any better, most of these vaccines were developed and approved while Trump was still president. Maybe that's a selling point.

What the selling point really is. I don't know what it's going to take, but these same people refusing to get the vaccine are the ones who are the loudest about not wanting to wear masks. And we got to reopen the economy. Cool. You want those things to happen? Get the dang vaccine so we can all start moving ahead, because if not, all you're doing is slowing it down. That's going to continue to hurt the economy. It's going to continue to hurt jobs. It's going to continue to get people killed.
