The attempt by Republicans in the house of representatives to censure democratic representative, Maxine waters has gone down in flames after the Democrats who control the house, decided to not go ahead and censure Maxine waters. Now this was 100% predictable, right? Even the Republicans knew that this measure to punish Maxine waters over her comments about the Shovan trial and the protesters, uh, they knew it wasn't going to go anywhere. It was purely symbolic. They did it to rile up their base and cause more division in this country. But if you're not familiar with it, um, earlier, uh, I believe it was actually this past weekend, Maxine waters, um, said that we have to get more confrontational about police brutality and the murdering of African-Americans at the hands of police officers, Republicans charged her with trying to incite a riot, actually with inciting a riot, even though no riot ensued.
So I'm not really sure what the reasoning there was. They just needed a villain, you know, to make themselves look better. So, Hey, what about this elderly black democratic Congresswoman? We can certainly make her the scapegoat, you know, ignore all the other Democrats who were also, you know, standing with the protesters, you know, symbolically let's go after the black one. That's exactly what they did folks. And of course it went down in flames. And part of the reason was because obviously nothing happened because of Maxine waters comments and because Maxine waters comments were correct. I mean, for the love of God, this entire country was, was quite literally started. It did because of challenging authority because of unfair treatment at the hands of those with power. And if you don't understand that, I suggest you go back and you reread American history. I mean, hell most, most of the significant changes that have occurred in this country have happened because people got in the streets because people got mad because they demanded better. And that's what Maxine waters was saying. The other side of this obviously is the fact that Republicans need to get their own house in order, before they try to start policing the speech of Democrats, you have Marjorie Taylor green literally ran an ad, talking about Nancy Pelosi, followed by a couple of gunshots.
And it's just crickets from these idiots. Like, no, no, no, no, no. We're okay with her running this ad immediately after an insurrection took place on the Capitol. That's totally cool. We're totally fine with other Republicans voting to overturn the election and to not certify electoral college votes. That, that, that that's certainly not out of line for us, but saying that we need to do something to change policing here in the United States. That is the last straw. A black woman can not call for that here in the United States. We want her censured. That's what happened with Republicans. They thought it would play well with their base and it did. It always does. You know, anytime you can find a black person to be a scapegoat for the Republicans. So they don't have to look at their Mo their own selves. They'll take it. And that's what they did. And it went down in flames as it should have Republicans have plenty of their own problems to deal with before they start throwing stones at the Democrats.
