3:42Now PlayingDemocratic strategists are balking at Liz Cheney's recent claims during her House speech that it is up to both parties to stop Trump, and they say that this responsibility lies solely with Republicans. But Cheney is actually correct - it will take both parties to undo Trump's influence on the country, and Democrats cannot abdicate their responsibilities on this issue. Farron Cousins discusses this.

During her speech before being ousted as the number three Republican in the house of representatives last week, Liz Cheney said that it's up to both parties, Democrats, and Republicans to stop Donald Trump from having power here in the United States. And also of course, to stop Donald Trump from running for president in 2024, it's going to take both Democrats and Republicans. Well, the Hill actually spoke to some, some of the worst people on the planet, democratic strategists,
Following
Liz Cheney's announcement here, and these democratic strategists who get paid way too much money to be some of the most incompetent people on the planet. Uh, they said, no, no, that's only up to Republicans. Only Republicans can stop Donald Trump. We've done everything we can. They said, Oh, we've, we've tried, but it's up to them. Know what you're doing? You idiots, as you're just kicking the can over to them. And then if Trump rises to power, you can be like, well, it was Republicans. We were Democrats, our hands were tied. We didn't vote for him.
And
That's one of the main reasons I have such a problem with democratic strategists. First of all, it's a title. That means nothing. It's a title that these idiots give to themselves. It's not like it's something you earned. It's not like a specialized degree that you got. No, no, no, no. You're just like, you know what? I'm going to tell Democrats what they should and shouldn't do. And half the time I'm going to be incredibly painfully wrong.
It's up to
Everybody. Liz Cheney is right. This is not a Republican thing. This is not a democratic thing. In fact, to be honest with you, it's more of a democratic thing than it is a Republican thing. Think about that for a minute. You already have the Republicans that have made their choice. So if you say it's up to Republicans, they've chosen and Trump said 20, 24 for Trump, you lose
Not necessarily
Lose the election, but you lose the fight of keeping him out of the party. It's up to the Democrats to make sure that doesn't happen. And it's up to all these little democratic groups out there to be running ads, attacking Donald Trump, reminding the public of how horrifying the January six insurrection truly was. You have to do these things because you know, Republicans, aren't going to do it. You have to highlight the accomplishments of Joe Biden. You have to highlight the work that Democrats are doing. That Republicans are obstructing. You have to go out there and show these disgusting, weird comments that people like Mike Lindell and Lynn wood are making on TV on behalf of Donald Trump. And you have to paint all of Trump's supporters as little Mike Lindell's or little Lynn woods, show them that these people are so, and you don't want to be in bed with the nuts sows that's on the Democrats because the Republicans sure as hell aren't going to do that.
So don't come at me with your little democratic strategists and your consulting agency that doesn't do crap to actually win elections. Go out there, put these plans in play. Look, I'm giving you gold here and I'm giving it to you for free y'all would charge somebody $150,000 to come up with these ideas. Or if you came up with these ideas for that person, that candidate, whoever it is, run these ads, y'all got the money stop acting like you don't run them now and keep them running through the midterms. Otherwise you're going to see, not just Donald Trump. Again, you're going to see even more little trumps popping up all over the country. Stop acting like this is just a Republican problem. The Republicans made their choice. So now it is pretty much solely up to the Democrats to prevent another Trump.
