Tucker Carlson insists that the Biden Administration is spying on him, but the rest of the network has been eerily silent on the issue. You would think that having one of your hosts surveilled by the federal government would warrant wall-to-wall coverage, but Fox is staying totally silent on the issue. Do they know that he's full of it, or were they already aware of what was happening? Farron Cousins discusses the possibilities.

So it's been several days, obviously since Tucker Carlson on Fox news made the rather remarkable claim that a whistleblower told him that the NSA is spying on him, reading his texts, reading his emails, because they want to get his show canceled. And in that time, since Tucker Carlson made those claims, Fox news

Has not defended him. Other hosts on Fox news have not run with this story. There have been no

Other segments on it. Nobody at the network is talking about Tucker Carlson's claims. Don't you find that a little weird.

I mean, after all, as an NPR

Reporter pointed out, typically what happens on Fox news is that Tucker Carlson, whatever he talks about that night basically gets carried over and discussed on Fox and friends the following morning. So naturally you would assume that after Tucker made those claims on whatever evening it was this past week that Fox and friends the next day would have woken up and said, oh my God, but one of our own is being spied on by the Biden administration folks. This is horrible. It is a gross abuse of power. They're violating the rights of those of us here at Fox news. We're one big family. We love each other. And we're going to protect you and defend you, Tucker

Nothing, not a word, not a peep. Wow. I mean, they defended him when he had all

The stupid talk about, oh, I FedEx myself, the hunter Biden material, and then it all disappeared. Cause that totally always happens when it's super important. And you definitely always FedEx yourself, important things instead of, you know, holding them because you have them and you don't have to send them to yourself.

Okay. But whatever, they defended him on that, by the way, whatever happened with that, where

Is that package of hunter Biden documents? Tucker,

The whole thing is stupid.

And as I said, when this story broke, listen, if the NSA is spying on Tucker Carlson, it's absolutely wrong. If they're spying on him in order to cancel his show that is wrong. Now, if they believe there was some criminal activity here, then they absolutely have the legal authority to do this provided. They did go through the correctly legal avenues. You know, they, they got the warrant, they got the information. Sure. If you did it that way, based on a real criminal investigation, you're allowed to do it. We may not like it, but they're allowed to do it. But if you're just doing it to get them canceled, then yes, it's wrong. And again, we saw Donald Trump's spying on CNN reporters and other reporters. The Obama administration actually spied on reporters from the associated press. Like this happens under Democrats and Republicans. So it's not out of the realm of possibility. Problem is Tucker Carlson has no credibility. And then all of the information that has come out since then points to Tucker Carlson lying. And the biggest piece of evidence for that is the fact that nobody else on that network is saying a word about it. This could mean

That they don't believe him, or

Perhaps it means. And again, this is pure speculation because we don't know, but maybe it means that they knew about it. Maybe it means that the higher ups at the network were approached by law enforcement said, listen, this is what's going on. We have to look at his emails because of, you know, X, Y, or Z investigation, whatever it is. So we need you to cooperate and give us, you know, electronic communications that is also entirely possible. And that could help explain why the rest of the network isn't talking about this.

We don't know for sure, but I think

Deep down the reason the rest of the network isn't talking about it is because Tucker has admitted to, again, that NPR reporter, I mentioned to her admitted, he doesn't have any actual evidence. Oh, he says, you have to take his word for it. Okay. Well your word means absolutely nothing. So nobody should take you at your word. And if we're basically having to say, well, we have to either trust Tucker Carlson or not trust Tucker Carlson, Fox news, his own lawyers have told us we probably shouldn't trust Tucker Carlson.
