Prosecutors in Washington, DC recently declined to, uh, settle a civil matter that they're still currently investigating. And that civil matter happens to be the investigation into whether or not the Trump inaugural committee misused their inaugural funds by overpaying for rooms at the Trump international hotel in Washington, DC. In fact, it's no small amount, it's over $1 million that the inaugural committee might have been overcharged. And that is exactly what investigators are looking at.

Committee, all inaugural committees are set up as non-profits basically, you can't make a buck off of your inauguration, nor should you be able to, but in true Trump fashion investigators believe that, uh, based on the, uh, you know, prices that they're able to see from the inaugural committee, what they paid, that the Trump international hotel jacked up their prices for the inaugural committee to rent out rooms. And, uh, I believe other conference areas of the hotel and in order to put more money in their pockets and investigators have now kind of according to reports, singled out to individuals as the main perpetrators of the scheme, if ANCA Trump and Donald Trump Jr. Trump Jr. Obviously being the guy that was running the Trump organization at the time because his father had to abdicate his responsibilities in order to be inaugurated as president and Ivanka Trump based on emails, conversations, and other witness testimony was basically, even though she denies it in charge of what the inaugural committee was spending money on hell at some points, according to conversations, she even approved the menus, but she still wants to say that, no, I barely was involved with any of it.

Now, as I mentioned to start this thing, the prosecutors declined to settle this matter earlier this month. See, it seems, I guess that the Trump people just want this whole thing to go away. What can we do? Because after all, it's a civil matter, not a criminal matter and get to more on that in a minute, but it's a civil matter. So you could settle civil matters out of court. So I'm assuming what took place was the Trump lawyers went up to the prosecutors and said, all right, how much to make this go away? What do you need? You want

Us to pay back a million dollars? We'll pay you back a million

Dollars. I was not privy to the conversations nor has it been widely reported on. So right now we just have a bunch of speculation, but the prosecutors in the case said, thanks, but no, thanks. We don't want your settlement. We actually want to finish our jobs. We want to keep investigating this. There can only be one possible reason why the investigators want to keep investigating. And because they believe there is more to be uncovered. And even though, as I mentioned, this is a civil matter. It could very easily turn into a criminal matter. If the investigators find any criminal activity, you know, for example, charitable fraud, cause it is a nonprofit and we all know the Trump organization's history with the charitable, for a HOD. Uh, they could then obviously refer it for criminal prosecution. And I believe based on what I've seen based on what I've read based on what we know from the investigation, I believe that's what thereafter they're able to set it up as a civil investigation first, right?

That's a little bit easier find out. Did they misuse money? If so, they got to pay the money back. But how did they misuse it? Did they misuse it intentionally maliciously to purposefully enrich themselves? Cause if so, your crossing the line into criminal territory, which is of course prosecutable and considering daddy, Trump is no longer in charge of anything. There's no executive privilege. There's no immunity for anybody. They could 100% Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr. Rick gates, who was also involved in this. Any of them, if criminal activity is uncovered, could likely be criminally prosecuted for what took place. I applaud the investigators for denying any kind of settlement or out of court, you know, agreement, finish the job, find what you think is there, or don't find it if it's not there and then move forward. But don't cut things off before it's finished.
