In a video address on her YouTube channel earlier this week, Republican representative Lauren Bert attacked, paid parental leave with what might be one of the most ridiculous arguments I've ever heard. Lauren. Bovert tried to claim that because she gave birth to one of her children in a, in a car that nobody really needs paid parental leave. Now I may be oversimplifying her statement just a little bit. So let me read it word for word. What Bovert had to say. I delivered one of my children in the front seat of my truck, because as a mom of four, we got things to do. Ain't nobody got time for two and a half months of maternity leave. We have a world to save here.

Okay? Okay. You got things to do, right? You're in your truck in the front seat, kid pops out. You're like, okay, well I'm still going to go to the grocery store. What, what does that, what does that even mean, Lauren, before even getting to the paid maternity or parental or paternity leave part of it? What does that even mean? Like I gave birth to my truck. I got things to do. I had to go by the bank. I got to go to the store from a busy woman. I got a world to save here that none of that has anything to do with anything at all. And it sure as hell has absolutely nothing to do with paid parental leave. I don't even see how that's really like I gave birth in a car so people can't take off when they have kids. Can anybody watching his, please explain how those two events are related.

What my wife gave birth in a hospital. I guess that means she know the location of the birth has no bearing on whether or not you need to take parental leave. Okay. You don't like him being on paternity leave. Oh, Frick and well, oh, he's not working. And there's a supply chain problem. And it's Buddha judge's fault. You mean to tell me you think that Buddha judge has just tuned all this out, that he's not actually making phone calls now. I don't believe that for a second, but let me read this. The guy in charge of it, all mayor Pete was on a two month maternity paternity, whatever the heck you want to call it. Okay. The guy was gone. The guy was not working because why he was trying to figure out how to chest feed.

I there's times I just give blind with rage. I have to be very, very, very careful about what I say. Cause I know what I want to say. Lot of words that might get me banned. And for the record, by the way, she didn't even come up with that joke. She actually stole it from Tucker Carlson because like Tara, like Carlson herself, uh, she is a horrible, absolutely disgraceful excuse for a human being. And that's about as extreme as it with it as I'm going to go. I think we can all make up our own minds about what kind of human being Lauren Bowker. It is certainly not anyone that anyone should aspire to be like, certainly not someone that should be serving in Congress. Certainly not someone that should be hoisted upon our shoulders and heralded as some kind of great leader. She's a piece of crap, just like Tucker Carlson and her idiotic comparison to giving birth in a car, to taking maternity leave.
