A Republican candidate for the, uh, Republican primary for governor in the state of Nebraska who has been endorsed by Donald Trump. And just a couple days ago, appeared at an event with Donald Trump Jr. Has now been accused by eight different women of groping them since 2017. So over the last five years, eight women that we know of because that's all that's come forward. One of them, by the way, a Republican state Senator from Nebraska says that this man, Charles herb stir either touched them inappropriately over their clothing. And one says that he actually forcibly kissed her. Now let me read this the original report, of course, uh, uh, uh, from the Nebraska examiner, but here's this Republican state Senator Julie Salma, the only woman who agreed to be publicly named by the examiner, alleged that at an event in 2019 herb store reached up her skirt and touched her without her consent while she was walking by him.
Several other women made similar allegations to the examiner saying that herbs, her touched them without their consent during interactions at Republican campaign events or fundraisers or beauty pageants, where herbs, her served as a judge, the women told the examiner their reasons for not coming forward, publicly included, fearing herb as wealth and influence and the impact the allegations could have on their future careers. In Republican politics, they also cited concerns about how their family or community would react. The two women said they were still considering filing police reports and others said the incidents had affected their interest in politics or led them to seek. And this is the guy that Donald Trump wants to be. The next governor of the state of Nebraska. Now herb stir of course, is in a crowded Republican primary field. Uh, but last I've seen he's actually doing fairly well. So he was kind of cruising towards that nomination. The Trump endorsement actually held helped him, but these new allegations I'm willing to bet are not gonna work out so well for him. And again, one of the women was a Republican state Senator. That's the woman who says he reached up under her skirt
And they were all Republicans. By the way, these happened at Republican events. These were Republican women. It's not like this is some kind of democratic op to make this guy look bad. These are members of his own party. And you heard the reasons right there, why they were afraid to come forward beforehand. Cuz herb store happens to be the CEO of a very successful company, uh, Conlan. That's a manufacturing company. So the guy's got tons of money. Hugely. I influe influential in Republican politics in Nebraska. Kind of sounds a lot like somebody else we know of, right guy with a lot of money running a company, just abusing his power left and right with women because Hey, when you're rich, they let you do it. Herb sounds exactly like the kind of guy Donald Trump would not only endorse, but probably hang out with on the weekends.
But here's the thing. Herb is now the third Republican that has faced very serious allegations of abuse of some kind that Trump has endorsed this cycle so far, we had Sean Parnell up in Pennsylvania. Oh, well he got a accused of abuse and had to drop out of the race. Then we've got Eric Brighton's over in Missouri. Uh, well he's got very serious allegations of abuse against him that might tank his campaign. And now Al herb Trump is literally picking the worst, most abusive people. You could imagine in saying, I want these people to be in office tells you a lot about Donald Trump, right? He may not have known about these allegations. I think though, the Brighton ones, everybody kind of did have inklings about it. There were warning signs there, but don't think it's coincidence that Donald Trump keeps being drawn to people that turn out to be abusers.
