Alex Jones Declares Bankruptcy To Stall Defamation Lawsuits Against Him

Conspiracy peddler Alex Jones has been fighting defamation lawsuits from his victims for many years, and he finally decided to file for bankruptcy to prolong the suffering of those who have been impacted by his words. This move means that Jones will be able to restructure his finances and his various businesses in order to shield money that the victims could otherwise be entitled to, and Farron Cousins explains why this is NOT something that should be celebrated.

On Sunday, Alex Jones officially filed for bankruptcy, chapter 11, bankruptcy to restructure his many different businesses and shell companies so that he could at least temporarily avoid paying out the victims of his hatred a and lies. So a little backstory before we talk about the, uh, bankruptcy filing here. And what it means is of course, if you weren't aware, which I don't know how you couldn't be aware, but just for the backstory, uh, Alex Jones has, of course been sued by the families of the victims of the Sandy hook tragedy. After he suggested many years ago on the air, not suggested he claimed many years ago on the air that this was in fact, a false flag operation that the left was using to try to ban guns here in the United States. That is obviously not what happened, everybody, except the big lunatic that follow Alex Jones know that's not what happened, but his follower took it upon themselves to issue death threats, to the families who had their first graders murdered at Sandy hook.

One family has had to move over 10 times since that tragedy occurred because of the constant harassment. Many of them live in fear. Many of them live in the shadow is right now because of the vial behavior coming from these Alex Jones listeners. So of course they, they banded together multiple different lawsuits have been filed for defamation against Alex Jones. So far, he has lost every single one of them. So he was gonna have to pay out a lot of money. So Alex Jones took a page at a corporate America's playbook and set, Hey, we're, we're facing a lot of liabilities here. Let's just file for bankruptcy. And then they can't get as much money from us.

The plaintiffs had already accused Alex Jones, uh, a while back long before the bankruptcy was even an option of moving money, different around, uh, moving his around, excuse me, two different what they called an alphabet soup of different shell companies, you know, trying to do whatever they can to make it to where these families can't find the money to where the lawyers can't see what's real. And what's not. Cuz when you file a lawsuit, you gotta be very specific about which entity you are suing. So if he takes one group of money, a pot of money over here from his main business, that's being sued and he moves it over here to a shell company that money basically becomes untouchable to a degree. The bankruptcy filing back to the present here, the bankruptcy filing actually allows him a pretty decent defense to not have to pay out for these lawsuits.

This is what corporate America does. Johnson and Johnson famously did that not long ago. I mean literally like a couple months ago as they're facing, you know, hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars in liabilities from the to powder lawsuits against them. And even though Johnson and Johnson pulled in a couple billion dollars last year, they were still able to file for bankruptcy as a way to fight off those lawsuits against them. Cuz then they get to say on paper, we have no money. oops, you can't Sue us. You can't get blood from a turn up as the old expression says, so we can't pay you now of course the judge will make them set aside money to pay out the victims. That won't be nearly what they deserve. And the same thing will happen with Alex Jones. And it, it would really, he gets me about this is you had plenty of people on the left on Monday when this news broke they're they're celebrating it like ha ha ha Alex Jones bankrupt.

No, the dude's not bankrupt. The guy has millions of dollars. He's not going outta business. In fact, the way this thing was filed actually allows him to restructure his business says so that he can continue operating throughout the bankruptcy proceedings. He's not going anywhere. The lies in the hatred are not going anywhere. The lawsuits, meanwhile, get put on hold until the bankruptcy proceedings are over with. So the victims get screwed. Alex Jones gets to continue to operate. This is not something worth celebrating at all. This is great for Alex Jones, but it's horrible for the people that have become victims due to his hatred.
