Capitol Rioter Avoids Jail Time As He Runs For Public Office

A man by the name of Willard, Jake PERT has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges related to his involvement in the capital riot on January 6th, 2021. Uh, basically they got him for parading around the capital, right? You were in the building, you weren't supposed to be in the building. We're gonna hit you with a misdemeanor and you're gonna have a couple months of home confinement. You're gonna pay a fine, you know, community service. But other than that, you're good to go have fun running for school board in the state of Utah, a capital rioter who prosecutors originally wanted to send to jail for 30 days now gets an exceptionally lenient sentence and is running for a school board seat in the state of Utah. Now you may think obviously if this individual didn't steal anything, didn't break anything. You know, didn't assault anybody in there then sure.

Don't send them to jail. But let me read you something that was played in court, audio of this man about what may have happened that day. And for the record, the reason they say they gave him the more lenient sentences, because two weeks after the riot, he turned himself in and he is been a good little cooperative, but here's what he's said, this what he told FBI agents, by the way, I don't know what would've happened. If I had seen MIT Romney, it's probably a good thing that I didn't see him because I would've been, who knows. I, I was definitely, um, yeah, you know, there, uh, I I've never had that much adrenaline run through my body ever. Um, so I don't know,

That's what this guy told the FBI and obviously not to twist his words, but if we can extract any kind of meaning there, because he mentions the adrenaline, he mentions, you know, the, the anger, obviously he's amped up and man, oh, I, I didn't see MI, but if I had, who knows now to me personally, my opinion, those don't sound like the words of a well adjusted individual. Certainly not the kind of individual you would want sitting on a school board, right? Somebody that allows themselves to be so overtaken with this mob emotion, this mob mentality that they're not even sure how they would've reacted. If they had seen a politician that they were angry with, I, we can take that, you know, one way to interpret it would be that obviously he, he would've gotten maybe he physical with MIT Romney. I don't know. He didn't explicitly say that obviously. So we can't put words in his mouth and we're not going to, but the statement alone that I don't know what I would do. I had the adrenaline pumping through me. That's terrifying because we saw what plenty of those capital rioters did when they had that adrenaline running through their bodies.

We saw them assault, police officers. We saw them steal things. We saw them break things. And this man, like I said, is running for school board in the state of Utah. Why? Because that's what the conservative talkers have been telling these people to do. Steve Bannon in particular has been adamant about these capital riots and other mega fans out there. Go out there and run for local office, take things over from the bottom up and much like they did on the day of the riot. They took those as marching orders. And this young man who's already been swept up in the emotion of January 6th is now swept up and following the orders of people like Steve Bannon, I'm gonna run for office. I'm gonna change things to my liking. And that's not anything that anyone should be celebrating. These people who participated in the riot, some of them are unhinged. Clearly some of them very delusional. Some of them exceptionally violent. These aren't the people we want running local governments. These aren't the people we want on election boards or school boards. These are people, people that should be pariahs in their communities forever, but instead they're running for office and the courts with their leniency appear to be helping them.
