This is the third official delay, and it means that prosecutors have been receiving information that is not just relevant, but that they can verify to be true and accurate. I missed a story last week, folks. I'm very sorry that I did not know this thing happened, but apparently last Monday, May 16th. Something interesting happened here in the state of Florida. Now there's a lot of interesting things that happened in Florida on a daily basis, but this thing was that a us district judge, by the name of Gregory pres once again for the third official time delayed the sentencing of Joel Greenberg, the former Seminole county tax collector, who is better known by most people as Matt gates wingman, man. Now, if you'll think back, I told you a couple months ago that the judge had once again, extended, you know, delayed the sentencing of Greenberg because prosecutors were getting such good information from him. And at that point, the judge didn't set a clear date. He just said, check back him with me. mid-May and we'll go from there and see if we need to set a date.

Or if he's still cooperating with you, we'll extend it even further. Well, like I said, last Monday, May 16th. They checked back in with the court. The prosecutors went in, they said, Hey judge, you gotta give us more time with this guy. This is great stuff he's given us. So we need more time. So the judge, once again says, all right, I'll delay it again. I'll extend it this time. You have to August. And you know, we kind of do need to sentence him in August. So the judge kind of made it clear, like, listen, I, I, by that point I will have been extending this for close to a year. That's all the time. You're probably gonna get, you know, unless of course he says, if there's absent, uh, uh, or August is gonna be the end of it, absent, compelling circumstances. So August is likely when Greenberg is going to officially be sentenced.

Of course he is facing up to 12 years in prison for the six felony accounts that he did plead guilty to originally it was close to 30 counts. They dropped almost all of them because he's being such a good little cooperator. And that's the big takeaway here. The prosecution would not have gone in and told the judge they need another delay because they want to keep working with him. If they weren't able to prove that this information they're getting from him is worthwhile. That's the big takeaway. It's not just that. Oh, he's got more stories to tell. We wanna sit and listen. It's, you know, great entertainment for us. It's the fact that they're able to confirm, or at least to a degree corroborate what he is giving them. And remember if he doesn't cooperate fully, if they find that he is being untruthful, he loses the plea deal. And that doesn't two dozen, almost extra charges come back to hit him. Everything right now is officially underseed and it's underseed. And this actually happened fairly recently because the prosecutor said, listen, we got a lot of names. We got a lot of suspects. We got a lot of targets. We got a lot of witnesses. So we need all of this officially sealed by the courts so that nobody flees so that nobody can intimidate these witnesses. Nobody can harass them. You know, they don't wind up falling out a 10th story window. We wanna protect everybody, including the potential targets. And the judge agreed, said, yes, I agree. So that's what's happening. Everything is under seal. So we don't even know at this point, the level of engagement in terms of investigating Matt gates himself, Matt gates could be the primary target. He could be the only target right now, or they could have already wrapped that part up and said, no, we got nothing on gates.

We're moving on. We've got a lot of other people and we're gonna take down this whole big ring of people paying for sex, but you know, gates, isn't part of it. We cleared him on that. We won't even know that by the way, probably until August, because once Joel Greenberg goes to jail or at least gets sentenced, the indictments are gonna fly.
