Republican Governor Says Party Looking For 'Off Ramp' From Trump

During a recent interview on Fox news, Republican Arkansas, governor ASA Hutchinson actually said that the Republican party is looking for an all ramp from Donald Trump. Interesting. Right? Let me read what he had to say. I hope that the future of the Republican party is different than former president Trump's leadership. I hope we move in a different direction. I believe that what happened on January 6th is allotted his feet. It was wrong for our country and for him to continue to push that theory, I agree is the wrong direction for the Republican party. There's many Republicans that are looking for an offramp new opportunities to define leadership in the future.

I, I wish I could agree with you AA Hutchinson. I really, really do. Cuz it would be wonderful if the Republican party was actually looking for that offramp but what you're ignoring is the fact that the very state you are currently the governor of is literally exhibit a in how the Republican party is not in fact looking for an offramp from Donald Trump because who's the, uh, Republican candidate for governor this year in Arkansas. Oh yeah. Sarah Huckaby, Sanders who, as we all know, served as one of Donald Trump's many press secretaries during his time in office, Donald Trump came out publicly endorsed Huckaby Sanders. Uh, she has, of course during her campaign touted her relationship with the former president. And she has basically made it clear that Donald Trump is the greatest thing ever. And if you elect her, you're getting basically a mini Trump there in the state of Arkansas.

So what's happening in Hutchinson's own backyard is proof that what Hutchinson is saying on Fox news is completely inaccurate. The party is not looking for an offramp from Donald Trump. I mean, they may say that behind closed doors, they may secretly want that to happen, but their actions are showing that no, it ain't happening. They don't want it to happen. They're not gonna force it to happen either. And either we would all love for the country to move beyond Donald Trump. I would love to never have to sit here and talk about him again for the rest of my life. But that's solely up to the Republican party, right? We can't make them move on. We've we've tried, you know, we've tried talking about what the guy really is all about. We've tried talking about how he's fleeced you all, how he's conned you, how you're basically members of a cult now, but y'all don't wanna listen. So we have to sit here and continue talking about it. We have to try to drill it in your heads. We have to try to wake up anybody who's willing to wake up. That is our job. It's an unfortunate job. It's an unpleasant job, but it is our job nonetheless, and we're gonna continue to do it. But what Hutchison is doing here is

Actually a big disservice to the party. He's trying to convince people that something is happening, even though we can all see again, looking at his state alone, that it isn't happening. What that does is it creates cover for the average Republican out there, right? The average Republican. Again, this happened on Fox news. So the average Republican viewer of Fox news, who maybe on the fence about Donald Trump is looking at that thinking like, oh good. Oh good. I can continue to support the Republican party because they're actually moving away from Trump. I don't have to worry about him and his craziness anymore. I can continue to be a Republican without supporting Trump because they're moving away from him. I just saw it from a Republican governor on TV. So that's why Hutchison is out there doing that. He knows it's not true. Knows it's not happening, but he's still gonna go out there and lie to your face anyway, because it benefits his political party.
