It has been generally accepted that Trump is running for President again in 2024 for nearly a year, but Republicans are growing increasingly worried that he is going to make an official announcement soon - and they fear it'll ruin their midterm dreams. This fear has a clear basis in reality, as most people in the country now view Trump as responsible for January 6th, with most also saying he should be prosecuted. You know, every so often we get more reports coming out, talking about how terrified the Republican party is that Donald Trump could throw his hat into the 20, 24 presidential ring before the Republican party is actually ready for it. And they're not gonna be ready for it until after this year's midterms. And so the big concern right now of course, is that you've got these reports out there saying Donald Trump wants to announce it this summer. Then of course we have reports saying, Nope, those closest to him say he may put it off a couple weeks. He was supposed to do it. According to some folks on the 4th of July, he may do it right near Ron DeSantis. Governor's mansion in Florida, just to kind of knock him out. We don't know what he's gonna do, but it is of course, generally accepted that Donald Trump is not only running for president 20, 24, but that he's been running for president for 2024 for about a year now.

Like nobody is gonna be shocked when he issues the official announcement. We all know it's coming and Republicans know it's coming. They just don't know when. And it's freaking them the hell out cuz as it stands right now, Hey, let's be real about it. Republicans stand to win big in the midterms. At least in the house side and the Senate side Democrats could actually pick up some seats. So Republicans can take back the house pretty easily based on current poll numbers. Although I will say those poll numbers for Republicans are not as favorable as they were about a month ago. So things are shifting a bit and it's shifting a bit because of what's come out about Donald Trump through the January 6th committee, it's shifting a bit because of the conservative Supreme court and who gave us that Donald Trump. So all of these things linked to Trump are currently hurting the Republican party, but not necessarily enough to make them lose big in the midterms, but should Trump throw his hat into the ring?

And this is what both Republican and democratic strategists are saying right now. It makes the entire focal point of the 2022 midterms, Donald Trump and Republicans know that doesn't end well for them, at least not now. And I do think by the way, a lot of them don't want him to announce it at all. They don't want him to run mean 61% of the public doesn't want Trump to run again in 2024, but making him the focal point of the midterms is what Republicans wanna avoid and what Democrats are praying does happen. So it is kind of funny to watch the two different sides. One saying, oh yes, please do it other side, play saying, please, God don't do it yet because everybody is in agreement on both sides that he becomes the whole point of the 22, uh, midterms. And the big problem with that is not just the January 6th investigation, not just all the other investigations

In Donald Trump, but of course the fact that his big talking point is the big lie, right? The, the election was stolen from me. You can't trust elections. We've already seen what happens and Republicans continuously bring it up. He interfered in the Georgia special or, or runoff election, excuse me in early January, right before the capital riot telling the people in Georgia that, oh, you can't trust the votes. The voting machines don't work. The people aren't counting the ballots. So Republicans stayed home and gave Democrats those two seats. Republicans are terrified that he could go out there, continue these idiotic talking points that they, their idiot followers eat up like candy. And that that could end up costing them big by causing Republicans to stay home. That is their fear. They're not so much worried about the January 6th stuff. They're not worried about the investigations as much. They're worried that Trump's stupidity will cause Republicans to stay home.
