YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn a court filing this week, the fake Trump electors from Georgia tried to distance themselves from Trump lawyers John Eastman and Rudy Giuliani by claiming that these electors had no knowledge at all of the plans to get Pence to overturn the electors from their state. This is an interesting move, but it may not actually prevent them from suffering any legal consequences, as Farron Cousins explains.

Things in Georgia are certainly starting to heat up in that ongoing investigation by Fanny Willis. Uh, several actually big developments so far this week, uh, first and foremost, Lindsay Graham has agreed to accept the subpoena. He has not agreed to comply with it. He has agreed to accept it. Secondly, a judge in New York has ordered Rudy Giuliani to testify in front of the grand jury because he failed to show up for a hearing last week where he could have fought his subpoena. So he failed. He's now ordered by a court to show up and testify. And the fake electors from the state of Georgia have all been informed that you are in fact targets of this grand jury investigation. That's right. We're not just going after the big fish. It's not just Trump and Giuliani and John Eastman and maybe Lindsay Graham. It's all of you.
We leave no stone unturned. This district attorney's office is signaling. So as is often the case in instances like this, a group of 11 of these fake Donald Trump electors via their lawyer filed a motion in court this week, effectively throwing Donald Trump's lawyers, Rudy Giuliani, and John Eastman under the bus here is what part of that court filing has to say about what these fake electors allegedly did or did not know about here. It is from the filing itself, by the way, it has also been reported in the media that certain high level members of the Trump team, Mr. Eastman, Mr. Ju Giuliani at all, uh, developed a different plan in late December, 2020 after Christmas to among other things, attempt to convince vice president Pence to count these contingent contingent electoral slates as the valid elector slates, despite the lack of any successful judicial ruling, to the extent these reports are accurate, which we have no way of knowing the nominee electors did not and could not have had any involvement in or knowledge of any such plan as it was not even conceived until several weeks after the G P electors had completed their contingent electoral slates on December 14th, 2020.
And in any event, it was never disclosed to or discussed with the nominee electors at the time. So basically what they're trying to say is like, Hey, listen, we've, we've, we've heard, I don't know if you've heard this, but we've heard in the media that apparently there was some kind of plot. Oh, crazy. Right. So, you know, just so we got our facts straight here, court system, we disbanded on December 14th, right? When the state certified our electoral college results, we said, we're out nothing we can do. We lost all the court challenges and to the fake elector's credit, they actually had come forward recently. And some of
Them obviously willingly speaking to Fannie Willis and her team saying, listen, I only agreed to be a fake elector on the condition that the court cases were successful in overturning the court re uh, the, the election results. Once I realized that wasn't gonna happen, I dropped out. I said I was done. And that of course is what the lawyer is arguing here. Like, listen, yeah, these people were lined up to do this, but they were only lined up to do it because they were told by certain people Trump's lawyers to be ready to go in case the court overturns the state's election results, which yes, honestly, legally speaking, that would make sense, right? You got your contingency plan in place in case you do win. You, you do need to have that. There's actually nothing criminal about that. So these electors probably not gonna face too much.
Uh, the reason they're targets, I think is mainly to just kinda get 'em to squeal on the bigger fish, which is kind of what this court ruling is doing, right. Again, to the timeline we just banded on December 14th, they're talking after Christmas. So after December 25th about getting Mike Pence to do all this and whatnot, and we got nothing to do with that. That's all these guys. If they're willing to file that in court, then clearly they're willing to tell that to the grand jury. And if they have the information, the evidence, whatever it is to back up their claims, I'm willing to bet that grand jury is gonna get their hands on it pretty darn quickly.
