Donald Trump's bad week just continued to get worse as the days ticked on, and two judges that he appointed to the federal bench actually helped create even more problems for him. An appellate court has allowed the DOJ to continue reviewing documents as the special master gets to work, but the special master has already run out of patience with Trump and his lawyers. Farron Cousins explains why this week, even with as bad as it was, might be better than what's coming down the pipeline for Trump.

You know, folks, it is quite possible that Donald Trump is having the worst week of his life. And I don't say that lightly, right? We've gotta look at everything that has happened to this man in just the last five days. And literally none of it is good. You know, the week basically started out with the special master, uh, Ray D the special master Trump himself picked calling out his own legal team saying, if you're not gonna tell me which of these documents you declassified, then I have no choice, but decide with the DOJ. So that was big. And right, that was gonna be probably the news of the week with the, his own special master saying, you guys have tried my patients already. I'm annoyed. I'm tired of this, give it to me or we're done. But then of course, on, on Wednesday you had New York attorney general.

Laisha James announced the massive fraud lawsuit against Trump, as kids in his organization. And then she happened to throw in that she's seeking basically the corporate death penalty for Donald Trump's organization. In addition to referring him for criminal charges with the us attorney's office in the Southern district of New York and the IRS, and then Trump got on truth, social, and actually mentioned that, uh, they didn't overvalue the properties. All we did was undervalue them, which, which, which is tax fraud. So good job admitting that. And then of course came another legal blow in the documents case. And this one shocked me. I'm not gonna lie. I was shocked. And this might be the icing on the cake for the week. The appellate court panel of judges, three judges from the 11th circuit ruled against Donald Trump's hand picked judge Eileen cannon from south Florida and said that the DOJ can resume reviewing documents while the special master is due in his job.

That is a massive blow to Donald Trump, not just because the ruling itself, but because two of those three judges on that panel were appointed by Donald Trump. Now, this is actually why I was worried about it because the 11th circuit court is made up of 11 judges. Six out of those 11 were appointed by Donald Trump. So you have a majority of judges already on that panel support, uh, appointed, excuse me, by Donald Trump. Uh, another one was appointed by George W. Bush. The other four, one was Clinton three was Obama. So you had a seven to four Republican advantage on that court on the panel that decided this case two were from Trump. One was from Obama. So two outta three from the very guy they've got a rule on. And they still said, we're not gonna side with you. This, this is ridiculous. They specifically, um, let me read this here from CNN, because this is quite,

Uh, quite amazing. Wednesday night, the appeals court panel called Trump's legal team out. Plaintiff suggests that he may have declassified these documents when he was president the court wrote, but the record contains no evidence that any of these records were declassified. And before the special master plaintiff resisted providing any evidence that he had declassified any of these documents. So the 11th circuit was basically using the same rationale that the special master Ray D used in saying, if you can't show us that you actually did declassify these, we need hard evidence. Not just you saying I can mentally do it. Like you told Sean Hannity, we need evidence. We need proof that this happened, or else we simply can't. We can't go on with this because the court was basically trying to figure out if the special master had to go through everything before the DOJ could touch anything. And because Trump couldn't prove it and his lawyers offered nothing to, to back it up, they said, all right, DOJ, there you go. Do your job. Keep looking at the documents.

Trump's legal team is just so stunningly incompetent, but not entirely incompetent. Actually, I, I gotta take that back. I, I do think they're really, really terrible lawyers and they are incompetent, but this isn't all due to their incompetence.
