Judge Shreds Capitol Rioter Before Giving Him 7 Year Sentence

Judge Amy Berman Jackson absolutely obliterated a Capitol Rioter in court this week before sentencing to seven and a half years in prison. The rioter had claimed that he didn't actually assault a Capitol Police officer, but that he was trying to get him away from harm. But the video of the rioter clearly showed the opposite, and Judge Jackson said that the rioter treated the officer like his "prey." Farron Cousins explains what happened.

This past Thursday, Judge Amy Berman Jackson was hearing the case of Capital Rioter by the name of Albuquerque Head. Weird name I know. But anyway, Mr. Head argued in front of the court for his sentencing. This, you know, the case had already been, you know, handled. This was the sentencing hearing. So Mr. Head goes into court and he says, Listen, I know you've, you've found me guilty for assaulting former capital police officer Michael Fanon, who I'm sure everybody remembers from the first January 6th hearing. Fanon was one of the capital officers who came in and, and spoke to the committee. He has received numerous death threats for being a capital officer. All kinds of horrendous things have happened to this man. And of course, he was beaten mercilessly during the capital riot. And Mr. Head said, Hey, listen, I didn't assault him. What I did, I was trying to grab him and take him away from the people who were assaulting him.

He was just trying to protect the cop. But unfortunately for Mr. Head, there's video evidence that shows the exact opposite. Albuquerque head was not dragging Mr. Fanon, Officer Fanon from the violence. He dragged him into it and audibly yelled, I got one on the videotape that was shown at trial when he dragged Officer Fanon to go get beaten by those Trump supporters. So obviously Judge Jackson did not have any mercy for him. And before sentencing him to a 90 month sentence, which is seven and a half years, she had this to say, he was your prey, he was your trophy. He was protecting the very essence of democracy, the peaceful transfer of power after a Democratic election. He was protecting America. That's who Officer Fanon was. That's what Officer Fanon was doing. You made decisions over and over again to go after him and not disengage.

That's pretty brutal SmackDown from Judge Berman. Along with, of course, as I said, the seven and a half year prison sentence, which is the second longest given to any capital rioter. And I hope that man Albuquerque head spends every second of every day for the next seven and a half years, thinking and suffering for what he did. Mental anguish is what I want. I'm not asking for physical suffering, I'm asking for mental suffering for this man because I want him to feel sorry for what he did. I want him to understand the gravity of what he did. And so does Judge Berman cuz Judge Berman didn't stop there. She then addressed the entire court and let everybody know what was still happening in this country. She said, quote, The dark shadow of tyranny unfortunately has not gone away. Some people are directing their vitriol at Officer Fanon and not at the people who summon the mob in the first place. Now, I don't know about you, but it, it kind of seems like she's singling out somebody else, somebody not in that courtroom, those who summoned the mob.

Now might that be a reference to Donald Trump who told those people before they stormed the capital to go and fight like hell? I think so. And I don't think Judge Berman was really even trying to hide that. But these capital rioters, what we have seen from them in their defenses is just absolutely disgusting. And a lot of these morons, cuz that's what they are, seem to forget that most of this is on video. And they try to argue that, Oh no, what you saw isn't what actually happened. Video doesn't lie, but apparently the capital rioters sure as hell do.
