Biden Laughs At Reporter Who Says Trump's Movement Is 'Strong'

During a Q&A with reporters on Thursday, President Biden was asked about a possible Donald Trump presidential run. When the reporter mentioned that Trump's movement was strong, Biden couldn't help but laugh at the assertion given this week's results. During a q and a with reporters this week, President Biden was asked, of course, what he thinks about Donald Trump running for president again. Cuz as we all know, in spite of his humiliations this past week, Donald Trump is still poised to make an announcement this coming Tuesday that he is in fact gonna run for president. So a reporter stands up, asked Biden the question, you know, blah, blah, blah, What do you think about it? Because as the reporter said, Trump's movement is still very strong. And it was Biden's response to that statement that really got me. So take a look at how Biden responded when asked this question. Here it is.

So how do you reassure them if that is the reason for their questioning, that the former president will not return, or that his political movement, which is still very strong, uh, will not once again take power in the United States,

Well, um, we just have to demonstrate that he will not take power.

Biden was right to laugh at the question. He was also correct to immediately then say, Listen, you know, we're gonna fight. We're gonna try to keep this guy outta here. Nobody wants that. So 100% every bit of that response was wonderful. But what I love about the chuckle is the fact that it was genuine. Like Biden legitimately laughed when that guy said, but Trump's movement is very strong. Now listen, Trump, right now, Trump himself, his brand, his, you know, political ambitions have been weakened this past week. There is no question about that. His movement, though, on the other hand, is an entirely different animal. And I, I think sometimes we do have to separate Trump from the mega freaks cuz the mega freaks are still gonna be around when Donald Trump is not. We have already seen other little mega freak candidates across the country when this week we saw a lot of the ones that Trump went out there fighting for lose, of course.

But after Trump is gone, we still have to deal with those people. And that of course is no laughing matter. And I know that Biden understands that, but I think to a degree, he and a lot of other people think that once Trump is gone, that movement will be fractured. And I happen to agree with that. You know, whenever you have the leader of a cult, which is what it is, uh, go away one way or another, the cult itself falls apart quickly soon after. That's, that's typically what happens. I mean, Mag's not a religion yet. So I don't think it would survive for too long without Donald Trump. It would break off into different factions. You would have infighting, you would have people moving and evolving and all of that. So it will survive for a while after Trump, but not for a long time.

But again, what he's done, the radicalization of these people, you know, the challenging of elections that's here to stay, right? Like that's not gonna end. And Trump isn't even the one who put the Republican party on this path. He is just the natural evolution of that. But Biden also is correct. You know, we, we do have to do what we can to keep Trump and people that have, you know, modeled themselves after him from getting into White House. That is a real threat. That is a very real danger to this country that we have to work to fight off. But at the same time, I can't help but feel that Donald Trump has probably had his feelings hurt that Biden laughed when it was suggested to him that Trump had any kind of power in this country. That is the kind of thing that obviously gets under Donald Trump's skin. And we know that he pays attention to any mention of his name. So he had to have seen that. And I imagine he's probably pretty angry about it. And that's the best part.
