Marjorie Taylor Greene Calls For A Republican Civil War

Marjorie Taylor Greene is not mincing words about the fight over Republican leadership, and during an appearance on Steve Bannon's podcast this week she said that she would "lean in" to a Civil War in the Republican Party. She said that they (the Republicans) are going to have to "fight it out" in order to prevent defections in the GOP ranks, but a fight would only make those problems worse. It's no secret that things are not good right now within the Republican party itself, right? There's a lot of finger pointing. There's a lot of people not wanting Trump to run. A lot of people wanting Trump to run. He's now in it, of course. And there's other issues too, that the Republicans have. For starters, they gotta figure out who the hell's gonna lead the Republican party if they take back the house. And yes, as it stands right now, they are projected to still win the house. Granted, they're only gonna have a one or two seat majority. So Republicans need somebody that's gonna be able to keep their caucus together. Otherwise, one or two defections. Suddenly Democrats win the day and Marjorie Taylor Green is out there saying that, by God, we may need a good old fashioned civil war. In the Republican party. During an interview on Steve Mann's podcast this week, Marjorie Taylor Green said this, In order for us to succeed, we're going to be forced to work together. That means we're going to fight it out. And I'm telling you, I've always said, I'm not afraid of the Civil War and the G O P I lean into it.

So I love, I love, love, love the fact that she starts that with we're gonna have to work together by beating the crap out of each other. Like you immediately went from guys we're gonna have to come together to fight. One of my favorite things about Marjorie Taylor Green is that she has no idea how dumb she is, like she just says the most random things, just this word salad jumble in her brain that just p and it's out there for everybody to hear, like, we're gonna come together by fighting to the death. And of course, what Marjorie Taylor Green is talking about, of course, is who's gonna be the speaker? Marjorie Taylor Green has come out and said, I'm going for Kevin McCarthy again because she's already been in McCarthy's ear saying, You better give me all the power that I want. And McCarthy, of course has basically told her, Yeah, I'm gonna do that.

But other Republicans won too. Andy Bigs has announced that he's gonna be throwing his hat into the ring. Of course, we will not have a real vote until the new Congress is in fact sworn in. So everything that's happening right now is of course just speculation. There are talks this week, obviously, of leadership positions for these Republicans, but nothing is official until the new Congress gets sworn in. And of course, until, and if Republicans actually do win back the majority, there's still a chance they don't. But Marjorie Taylor Green, believe it or not, did say something smart. She said this, I actually think that's a bad strategy. When asked about Mr. Bigs throwing his hat into the ring for speaker. I actually think that's a bad strategy. When we're looking at having a very razor thin majority with potentially 219 seats, we're talking about one vote. We have to put someone in for speaker that is going to be elected

And not allow the Democrats to pull away one or two votes because that's what they want to do. Believe me, they can do it. It can be done. So what Marjorie Taylor Green then goes on to say that she thinks could happen is that Democrats, because everybody gets to vote on who the speaker of the house is gonna be. And if Democrats were able to get like one or two moderate Republicans with only a one Republican seat majority, get one or two to come over to your side and vote for somebody. Like as Marjorie Taylor Green explained Liz Cheney to be the speaker of the house that, oh my God, total chaos. Because as we've discussed in the past, it can happen technically. Everybody in Congress could get together and say, You know what? I'm gonna vote for fair and Cousins to be speaker of the house.

Then next thing I know, I gotta move to DC because I'm the speaker. It doesn't have to be a member of Congress who holds the speakership. It can be anybody kind of crazy, right? May, maybe we ought to start lobbying them and say, You know what? Go ahead and put Fairen up there. I know you'll miss the content, but hey, trust me, I can do much more good up on Capitol Hill.
