According to Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg in testimony this week, Donald Trump's sons Eric and Don Jr. not only did NOT fire him after learning he committed tax fraud, but they also gave him a raise after they heard the news. If this doesn't reek of an attempt to buy off the indicted CFO then I don't know what does. Farron Cousins explains what happened.

If you were running a company and one of the people that you would trusted to help you run that company came to you and said, Hey, listen, um, I've been committing some tax fraud just so you know, me and the business, uh, I've, I've gotten us involved in a lot of fraud. What would your reaction be? You'd probably fire the person, right? Like just right on the spot. Like, you're gone, you're outta here. But even if for some reason you decided to keep 'em on staff, you wouldn't reward them for doing this now, would you? Well, it depends on what company we're talking about, because if we're talking about the Trump organization, then you absolutely reward the person for committing the fraud. And that is exactly what Trump organization, chief Financial Officer Alan Weisselberg, said in court this week happened to him when he approached Eric Trump. And Donald Trump Jr. Told them about all the things he had been doing back in 2019, and he says that rather than being punished, they rewarded him by giving him a $200,000 a year raise.

He went to his bosses, said, guys, I've been doing some fraud. I've also got the company involved in some fraud that's probably gonna cause us some legal problems down the road, but, uh, what do you want to do? And at the time, of course, Donald Trump was president of the United States. So Eric United States, uh, Eric and Don Junior were the ones running the company, so I'm guessing the two huddled together. And they said, will Eric, I don't know what we do here. And Eric said, will Donnie boy, I don't know either. So they came up, the two of them, the brain trust of Eric and Don Junior came up with a brilliant idea. Just, I, I guess we just give him a raise like, Alan, how does an extra $200,000 a year, uh, sound? And they actually gave him the raise, not because he committed the fraud, but because he couldn't keep doing the fraud. Right? The whole fraud thing, folks, in case you haven't been following, is a fact. He was getting all these perks, the company car, the under the table payments, but all of that had to stop because the investigation had already uncovered all of that. So we didn't get those things anymore. So then the Trump boys were like, well, since you're not getting these things anymore, I guess we gotta compensate you by giving you more money.

The guy basically told you like, I got us involved in a lot of fraud. We're all in trouble. And they're like, well, how does $200,000 extra a year sound? Now if you ask me, and again, Weisselberg testified that that's what happened in court this week. Now if you ask me that $200,000 raise he got for doing the fraud, um, that doesn't sound like it was done just because he was losing the benefits. Now, to me, it kind of sounds like a hush money payment, right?

Don't you kind of get that feeling a little bit like, oh, you got us involved in a lot of fraud and you're the only guy that knows all of everything that happened, and they're probably gonna come for you. You know what, don't you, you need more money, right? I'm assuming you need more money. We're gonna give you lots of money. Don't ever tell anyone about this. Now, in my opinion, I think that's the most likely scenario that happened there, because again, if somebody in your company came to you and said, Hey, I'm doing some fraud, you'd be like, cool, I'm doing some firing. Get the out. But that's apparently not what happened. They, they rewarded him. They gave him a raise, and it's very difficult to see that as anything other than a hush money payment.
