YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn a bizarre video posted over the Thanksgiving break, Eric Trump claimed that his father was just like NFL star Tom Brady and that his dad always "fought for America." Unless you count those times when Trump literally refused to fight for his country in the armed services, or the many times that he abused his own power to profit off the presidency. And you'd also have to ignore all of his losses - something he definitely doesn't have in common with Brady. Farron Cousins examines this truly unhinged claim from Eric.

During an interview that apparently aired sometime over the Thanksgiving break, kind of slipped under my radar, but I did find it. Eric Trump, the idiot fail son of former president, Donald Trump told an interviewer that his dad, the loser, Donald Trump, was a lot like NFL Superstar Tom Brady. Eric said, my father fought for this country. Tom Brady always fought and played for his team. My father is playing for Team America. Now, unfortunately, I I, I don't have the full context of that interview. I don't, I don't, I don't know why Tom Brady's name was, was brought into it, but I can go ahead and tell you that no matter the context, even if they were talking about Tom Brady in general, um, that's not an accurate comparison. Now let me just go on record here before I, I heap a little bit of praise on Tom Brady.
I don't like Tom Brady. I do not like him at all. I do not like his politics. I believe he has played dirty in the past. Having said that, I still acknowledge the fact that the dudes won seven Super Bowl rings and might actually be the best quarterback to ever play the game. I'm not so hyperpartisan that I can't look past politics and acknowledge that that dude is very, very good at football and we may never see another like him. He's proven that. Now, compare that to Donald Trump, who Eric Trump, you know, says a lot like his dad. Tom Brady, Donald Trump. I can barely tell him apart, right? Your dad, Eric lost two presidential elections in the popular vote arena. Um, of course the electoral college gave it to him in 2016, because that's how our backwards system works. 2020, he lost to Joe Biden by 8 million votes in the 2018 midterms while he was president.
That's when the blue wave happened. Democrats swept the midterms more than 40 gained, uh, 40 seats gained in the House of Representatives. Um, the squad came to us in 2018. That's, you know, your, your dad allowed that to happen. Then he lost again in 2020. Then he just lost again in 2022. Your dad is not a winner. Tom Brady's a winner. Love him or hate him. The guy's it Well, this season, yeah, they're not really winning. Um, but either way, dude's old now, right? Either way, Tom Brady has a record of winning your, your dad doesn't. And then there's the other part of it where you say that your dad has fought for this country, fought for Team America. No, you see, your dad actually did have the opportunity to go fight for Team America, but he got his doctor to say that he has bone spurs. So he, he couldn't go fight. And then of course, while he was running for president and while he was
President and since he's not been president, he spent a lot of time just like you and your brother attacking the military and service members, claiming they're all too woke now and weak. He attacked Gold star families, the families who had lost their children in combat. He attacked John McCain, who I'm no fan of at all, but said the only reason he is a hero is cuz he was captured. I prefer people that weren't captured. So your dad really hasn't ever fought for Team America. The only team your dad has fought for is Team Trump and mostly team Donald Trump. Like not even just the Trump family, mostly just for himself. He abused his power while he was president of the United States, which of course is why there's a new investigation into his potential abuse of power with the IRS targeting his political enemies. He used his office to put more money in his pocket.
New report came out this week, more than 500 different Republicans across the country stayed at Trump, owned properties while he was president, putting money directly into his pocket to curry favor with him. Those are all things that definitely happened. Those aren't things that benefited America at all. Those are things that benefited your father. And of course, to a lesser extent, you, Eric, because you're, you know, you own part of the properties. You get some of that money too.
