Donald Trump attempted to step in and force his Republican friends in the House to vote for Kevin McCarthy this week, but his attempts were met with ridicule and defiance. Lauren Boebert called Trump out on the House floor, while Matt Gaetz said that Trump's comments were "sad." The MAGA freaks no longer fear their leader, and that's not going to end well for Trump. On Wednesday, Wednesday morning before Republicans came back for their second day of, uh, trying to figure out who the hell's gonna lead the party in the house, Donald Trump came out publicly and endorsed Kevin McCarthy, and he urged all of his supporters in Congress. And there's plenty of them. Pretty much all of the ones objecting to McCarthy. He urged them to do the right thing, vote for McCarthy, and stop this insanity. Well, Wednesday came and went. They didn't listen to him. In fact, McCarthy actually lost a supporter after Trump's endorsement, uh, Thursday votes seven, eight, and nine.

McCarthy still didn't get the, didn't get the victory after those votes. So what does this tell us about Donald Trump's actual influence and power over these sitting members of Congress? Well, I think it's pretty obvious, right? It tells us that that power doesn't exist. Something I've been saying for two years now, Donald Trump, the emperor has no close. But what's different this time is that I'm not the one seeing it. It's those Republicans, right? The members of the House Freedom Caucus that are obstructing everything right now. They're the ones who finally realize that Donald Trump has absolutely no power over them whatsoever. Now, Matt Gates, who on Wednesday said that it was very sad that Donald Trump came out and endorsed McCarthy. Uh, gates did try to kiss up to Trump a little bit by nominating him for speaker, voting for him, for Speaker of the House on Thursday several times.

And he tweeted out a photo of Trump holding the speaker's gavel that somebody had drawn. But the rest of the caucus didn't see it that way. These are all diehard Trump supporters. Let's get that straight about these people voting against Kevin McCarthy. These are, are people who, when Donald Trump said jump, they asked how high Lauren Beaut is one of them all, but two of them who are objecting to McCarthy as the speaker are election deniers. That's straight from Donald Trump. These are his people, and his power over them is gone, and it's gone because technically it never really existed. But the problem is not that his power is gone, but that their fear of him has disappeared with everybody. But Matt Gaetz, as I said, he went back to kissing his butt immediately. But for the, the rest of the folks, they're not afraid anymore. And when Trump loses that fear factor when members of his own party, the ones who supported him the hardest, when they no longer fear him, he doesn't even have

Any pretend power anymore. And by the way, they're right to not fear him, right? What's he gonna do? Oh, is he gonna get on truth social and post a angry truth about you? And what is that gonna do to you? Nothing. Is he gonna, I don't know. He has no other outlets. It's not like he's gonna go on Fox News. Fox News is already off at you too. So Trump can do nothing to these people. They have two years each and every one of them, before they even have to worry about another election, Trump can't hurt them. And they finally figured that out. So they have now become their own monster. I pointed out on Ring of Fire yesterday that Trump was the Frankenstein's monster of the G O P. And now this Freedom Caucus Group is Frankenstein's Monster's monster. So this is what we're left with. But the more that these people realize that they do not have anything to fear with Donald Trump, that he cannot actually retaliate against them in any kind of meaningful way, then that's just about the end of Donald Trump. Because if he can't strike fear into the hearts of Republicans to do what he wants them to do, then he has no hope of retaking control of that political party.
