Jim Jordan Slammed With Calls For Indictment During New York City Field Trip

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan traveled to New York City on Monday to highlight the "rampant crime" in the city, but his trip to the city was anything but productive. Protestors gathered outside the hearing room chanting and holding signs calling for his indictment, as well as calling him a traitor to the country. So folks, yesterday was the day Jim Jordan, Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, took his little field trip up to New York City to talk about the rampant crime. And he wasn't exactly greeted with the kind of greeting that I think he thought he was gonna get. Instead, he was greeted to a group of protestors who gathered outside of the room where they were conducting their little hearing, which is really just a farce. And they had signs and banners, and they were chanting indict Jim Jordan. They were calling Jim Jordan a traitor. So in case you haven't seen the video, uh, here's a short clip of what Jim Jordan was greeted with outside that hearing room. Take a look.

Well, Jim, again, you probably didn't think that's the kind of reception you were gonna get. You probably thought I'm gonna waltz on end into New York City. Tell everybody how horrible their city is and everything's gonna be just peachy. Keenan, huh? Um, Jim, I don't know if you've met a New Yorker, but they're, they're really proud of their city. And even though some of them will admit, obviously there are problems, you can't just walk into somebody else's city and be like, Hey everybody, this place is a boy. Let's talk about it. That's, it's probably gonna rub people the wrong way. Not to mention the fact that you're overstating the crime rate in New York, just as Alvin Braggs pointed out, office pointed out to you a week ago, your own backyard has a murder rate three times higher than New York City. Like, if you wanna hold a hearing to talk about how bad murder is, how bad assault is, you literally only have to go to your home and talk to your neighbors and talk to the businesses there.

But you're ignoring the real crime because it doesn't suit your agenda. You are trying to say that instead of addressing crime in New York City, the district attorney's offices instead going after poor little Donald Trump because you politicized white, the, the only one politicizing any of this, Jim, is, is you, you and your Republicans that joined you on your little field trip. I'm sure you all got your little permission slip sign. You brought your little sack lunches, probably all cute, wore your class shirts, everybody'd know that, okay, this group is all together. I mean, look, I've been on kids field trips plenty of times with my kids going through elementary school. I know how it works. And it was pretty much the same thing, except the, the kids in my kids' classes when they go on field trips, probably much better behaved than you were. And of course, my children have, uh, never been met by protestors calling them traitors and wanting them to be indicted.

But that's what you got in New York City, Jim. That's what captured the headlines, not your little phony hearing, lying about crime in New York, trying to hold up one or two murders and act like, see, it just, you can't even walk down the street without being murdered. I was murdered twice this morning. It's a farce. And you're doing it because you want to protect another man who, according to the District Attorney's office, broke the law 34 times, at least that we know of, that he's willing to charge him with probably more based on the testimony of Mark Pomerance.

So you can't claim to be tough on crime. You can't be mad at the DA for not going after crime when he's actually very clearly going after crime. Like that's what he's accusing Donald Trump of doing. Just because it's not the crimes that you want him to go after doesn't mean the dude is not going after crime. Do you see where I'm getting here? Jim Jordan wants us to believe that the federal government has been weaponized against conservatives and he's too frigging stupid, or he thinks the public is too stupid to recognize the fact that he is the one who has weaponized the federal government to protect one man. And that is Donald Trump.
