It was revealed this week that Congresswoman Lauren Boebert has filed for divorce from her husband, and The Daily Beast is reporting that the serving of the divorce papers to Jayson Boebert did not go well at all. The report says that Jayson became belligerent as the process server attempted to do his job by refusing to accept the papers, yelling curse words, threatening to call the police, and eventually setting his dogs loose against the server. Lauren says that this doesn't sound like Jayson at all, but that's what's in the documentation, as Farron Cousins explains.

In case you were not aware, it was announced this week that Lauren Bobert has filed for divorce from her husband Jason. And after that news was revealed, the Daily Beast got ahold of the affidavit, uh, that was served to Jason Bobert announcing the dissolution of the marriage, and they got a hold of the report from the process server. Now, in case you're not familiar with the way these things play out, whenever you're dealing with a lawsuit of any kind, which basically is what divorce is, a process server will come along and serve the individual with the official paperwork. That is how the system plays out to ensure that the individual being sued, or in this case divorced, does have those papers so that they cannot legally deny that they never got them. So the process server, according to the Daily Beast Report shows up at Jason Bobbitt's home where he immediately became irate and belligerent.

Let me read this again from The Daily Beast, the April 25th filing seeks to dissolve her marriage to Jason Bobert with whom she shares for son, uh, for sons. An affidavit of service also obtained by the Daily Beast indicated that Jason Bobert appeared to be caught off guard by the court proceedings. He chased away a process server with an expletive laden tirade and let his dogs loose. When he was served with the divorce papers, the affidavit said the Beast also claimed that, uh, Bobert was cleaning a gun and drinking a tall glass of beer. When the process server arrived, they were called that. I tried to hand him the documents, but he did not take them. He started yelling and using profanities and told me that I was trespassing and he was calling the sheriff's office. I told him I was leaving the documents on the chair outside of the door. He closed the door and then let the dogs out.

So Jason Bobert, you know, may, may not have known that he was gonna be getting a divorce. That's, um, that's kind of interesting. I mean usually, I mean, divorce is not just randomly sprung on your partner. I mean, there's probably discussions and things like that where at least you're not caught off guard by like, what? I'm getting a divorce. You know, I mean, typically, I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I'm just saying maybe Bobert Lauren herself was not, uh, as forthcoming with her husband as she should have been, uh, drinking a tall glass of beer. I'll be honest with you, nothing wrong with that. The guy's sitting at home, obviously he's not at work, he's not behind the wheel of a car, so there's nothing wrong with that. I'm not actually gonna hold that against him at all, cleaning a gun, however, as the process server's trying to talk to him, yeah, that kind of seems like intimidation a little bit.

If that is what happened. Threatening to call the sheriff's office seems a little paranoid at that point. Um, so yeah, maybe Jason Bobbitt's got some issues he needs to work out, but according to Lauren Bobert, her estranged husband, this is not like him at all and she doesn't believe it happened one bit. Lauren Bobert said in defense of her estranged husband, Jason, a man I've spent half my life with, did not cite up to be in the public limelight. And he certainly did not agree to be falsely accused of things he didn't do. Jason doesn't sit around cleaning guns and he certainly doesn't drink beer out of a glass just as much as he doesn't drink Bud Light, cuz you gotta throw the culture war stuff in there too, right? Our own home security footage shows he didn't sick dogs on the process server. The dogs were outside when the server pulled up.

They never showed aggression toward him, nor did he appear afraid of them. Jason deserves his privacy, not slanderous stories. You know, you could technically put an end to this right now, Lauren, if you just release that security camera footage that you say you have. I mean, if you have security camera footage that your dogs were already outside the server was on the front porch, the footage, you know, uh.
