George Santos' Lawyer Marched On The Capitol On January 6th

Republicans clearly have a thing for hiring complete morons to be their lawyers. New reports have revealed that indicted Republican Congressman George Santos' lawyer was part of the mob that marched on the Capitol on January 6th, though it doesn't appear that he took part in the actual riot. However, Santos was also in the crowd that day, so it makes sense that a group of whiny election deniers would band together. Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

I know all the focus recently has been, of course, on Donald Trump being indicted now, both in Manhattan and of course in Florida with the federal grand jury. But we cannot forget, of course, poor little George Santos, who just isn't getting the attention that he deserves, right? I mean, by golly, he's been indicted too. So he deserves just as much as the, of the spotlight. Well as, and ye shall receive, right, Santos, because according to a new report from Mother Jones this past week, it turns out that George Santos has hired to represent him, a man who was at the capitol part of the mob on January 6th. Now, before we go any further, let me make crystal clear here that this lawyer who was at the capitol and did go past the barricades, has not been charged. He has not been arrested. He, you know, as far as we know, was not a rioter.

He was just a part of the crowd based on photographs. And this lawyer is a, a man by the name of, uh, um, uh, uh, Murray Joseph Murray. Joseph Murray is George Santo's lawyer. And Joseph Murray marched on the capitol on January 6th, and Joseph Murray on his social media called for people on January 6th to fight for Trump. He said, those who do not stand up for our republic will be voted out of office. And December, 2020, Mr. Murray, who again is George Santo's lawyer, tweeted, I am going to ask President Trump to appoint me as Attorney General or US attorney, and I will clean up all of this corruption in government that is destroying our republic.

And then of course, after Donald Trump was removed from Twitter, Mr. Murray then deleted his Twitter account. But, uh, using the internet archives, they were able to go back and find all his tweets. So this is the man charged with keeping George Santos outta prison. This was the man who of course, this past week begged the judge, please judge, don't make my client reveal the people who posted his bond. We don't want these people getting in trouble. I may just be a humble January 6th Capitol Rioter, but I know the law. Now, again, he wasn't a rioter, actually, I take that back. I apologize. Um, he was just part of the crowd that marched on the capitol because apparently he believes that the 2020 election was stolen. He doesn't believe that we have legitimate elections in the United States, and therefore, like everybody else who believes the big lie, you're living in an alternative reality. Now, I don't know about you, but if I were in need of a lawyer, I probably wouldn't wanna hire somebody that believes in such an obvious lie that has been debunked time and time and time again. It's been debunked by the very people Donald Trump hired to prove it. It's been debunked in the very court system that you now have to go

Represent George Santos Inn. It's been debunked by everyone, but George Santos said, I want the dumbest lawyer I can find. Oh, shoot, they're all working for Trump. Well, I'll take the second dumbest lawyer I can find. I don't know why in my analogy there, George Santos is speaking with a Southern accent. But either way, it is what it is. This is the, the brainchild that Santos has hired to defend him. And I gotta tell you, that is exactly the kind of lawyer that George Santos deserves.
