Fani Willis Offering Batch Of Plea Deals To Defendants Willing To Squeal On Trump

According to new reports, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is offering a new batch of plea deals to defendants in the election case, presumably hoping to get some folks to flip on higher up targets, like Donald Trump. Willis has already officially flipped one defendant, with deals up in the air for Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, as well. These new offers could add a few more names to the flip list, as Farron Cousins explains.

New reports out this week say that Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis, is actually offering a new batch of plea deals to some of the 19 co-defendants in the Georgia election trial. Now, we had talked earlier in the week about the fact that over the weekend she had offered plea deals to both Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesbro. As of right now, those two individuals have not accepted those plea deals, but one individual already has. That's a man by the name of Scott Hall, a former bail bondsman and a Republican poll watcher. He has agreed to, instead of facing seven felonies, a plead guilty to five misdemeanors, he's gonna get, uh, like 200 hours community service. He's gonna get a little bit of home confinement and probation. But most importantly, he did in fact agree to test testify honestly and truthfully against anyone that he has called to testify against.

Now, Mr. Hall is a low man on that ladder, okay? He's not like up there directly talking to Donald Trump every day like Rudy Giuliani may have been. He's, he's kind of towards the bottom. So getting this dude to flip is not gonna lead us directly to Donald Trump. And according to the reports, some of the other people, or at least one of the people we know that's been offered a plea deal, is Michael Roman Trump's director of operations in Georgia. Um, and some of the people who were indicted for their alleged roles in the appointment of a slate of Trump electors election data breach in Coffee County and harassment of Fulton Poll worker Ruby Freeman. So this man, again, Michael Roman, who's been offered the plea deal, he was in charge of Trump's operations at Georgia, so he's a little bit higher up on that ladder than Mr.

Hall. So he's now been offered this plea deal, and that's how this works. And of course, as it says, other people too, we do not know their names have been offered these plea deals. Um, I saw one legal analyst describe it as such. Fannie Willis does not want to do 19 trials. She doesn't want to do 12 different trials. She really, at the end of the day, wants to do one trial. And that, of course is Donald Trump. So you don't wanna blow all your ammo going after the, the lower people on that ladder, okay? Because if you give up the game and you show all of these other defendants waiting their trials, what you're gonna do when you're trying this little one, they're gonna have the upper hand. They're gonna be able to prepare for it. So the more plea deals she can get, the better. 'cause it means she gets to, you know, metaphorically keep her powder dry and save it for the big guns. Now, that doesn't mean that all of these people like Scott Hall are able to flip on Donald Trump, right? He's at the bottom of the ladder, trump's up at the top. So what happens is that you get the lower people

To start flipping, and they're gonna flip on the people on the rung of that ladder immediately above them. And once you get the dirt on all these people, then you go to these folks and you offer them plea deals. You say, listen, this guy below, you already gave up the game. He gave us all this evidence against you. What do you have on the people above you? And then you keep doing that. You keep climbing that prosecutorial ladder until you get to the guys at the Trump, which of, uh, top, which of course would be Donald Trump, uh, Rudy Giuliani, and, uh, John Eastman. So that's the plan. That's what she's doing. The plea deals are now fi uh, flying fast and furious. We'll see who else takes them, because let's not forget folks, if you are offered a deal and you do not take it, you will go to trial. She's not gonna go easy on you, and you are likely looking at years and years, actually a minimum of five years in prison versus a sweetheart deal that lets you walk free with, you know, little bit of community service, little bit of probation, maybe a couple months of home confinement. But I can promise you all of that is much better than a minimum of five years in prison.
