So one of the most common questions that I get is from people wanting a pet update. So, got a question here from YouTube community member Mary Smith, 2060, who says, do a pets update. How are the new kittens? Well, they, uh, they just walked off. I did my best. I wanted to try to get them in this video. They weren't having it. I did have to wake them up off the couch to bring them in here to do it. Um. But they're doing great. Um, for those of you who may not know, I have a lot of pets. Uh, we have lots of cats and we have three dogs. And recently, of course, over the summer, we did lose, uh, Hatti. Wea. She had a, a thyroid issue. And once we got her on treatment, treatment did not work. And she passed, uh, very quickly.

But we also, over the summer, acquired two new kittens who showed up at my wife's school to, uh, you know, get a little attention. And at the time, we, we didn't know like what was going on with them. 'cause they had really bad. We thought it was mange. Turns out it was, uh, roundworm. So, they had just blotches all over their skin, you know, missing huge patches of fur. And one of 'em is a little bobtail cat. Uh, Thor is his name. And his tail was so scabbed over because of the worms. We thought he had actually lost his tail to a predator. 'cause these were feral cats. But it turns out he's just a bobtail. Uh, we got 'em all treated up, fixed up. They're doing wonderful. That was, you know, you just saw them here. So they're doing great. Uh, no more worms, no more problems.

Everybody's all caught up on vaccinations. And so the new kittens are doing wonderful. The dogs, of course, are great. They, you know, they're, they're dogs. They love running outside. I've got one, the youngest, um, her name is Aspen. You may remember her from when she was a puppy, and we did that in-screen video. She has become, uh, become a whole digger. So, you walk out in my backyard, watch where you step, because she doesn't just like, dig small holes. Like she's acting like I am tunneling to the other side of the earth. I, I caught her out there the other day and it took me a minute 'cause I didn't know what I was looking at because it was only like her back legs and tails sticking up. Like that's how far down she had dug into this hole. Um. So she has a ton of fun out there, but if you're not like constantly watching her, she is going to do something. Uh, I don't wanna say stupid, because she's only two, so she's still very puppy, like, uh, but it shows she's definitely puppy. Like, uh, our other dog, middle dog, uh, Hannah. She's gotten the point where she actually likes to go into the cabinet,

Like our pantry and just take a can of food. Like, she'll open it up with her nose, grab a can of food, and just carry it around the house. Like for days she doesn't try to open it. She doesn't chew it. She just likes to hold like a can of, you know, diced tomatoes, in her mouth. I don't know. Uh, pepper is the oldest dog. He is our rescue dog. Um, some kind of lab mix. The smartest dog in the world, smart sometimes to his own detriment. But, uh, he's great. He's getting a little older, so he's not as, uh, rambunctious as he used to be. So he's toned down a lot. But the cats, the kittens, uh, absolutely wild and crazy. They, they knock over every single thing we have, but we love them tremendously along with all of our other animals. And I'm done with animals for now. I don't care how many cats show up at my doorstep, I cannot take in any more. Um, and I say that now, but, you know, we'll see how that goes.
