House Republicans Plot To Expel Matt Gaetz As Investigation Heats Up

According to new reports, Republicans in the House of Representatives are already considering expelling Matt Gaetz from Congress, due to the activities of the House Ethics Committee. While the Committee has not yet finished their work, Republicans don't want to be caught off guard and are prepared to move forward, if necessary. According to new reports, actually a new report from USA today that actually spoke with Republican members of Congress, who of course chose to remain anonymous for obvious reasons. But this new report from USA today says that Republican members of Congress, a group of them, are actually already plotting their expulsion efforts for Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz. Now, there is a caveat to that. They're not just saying no matter what, we are going to expel him, but these republicans told USA today that if, if being the key word, the House Ethics Committee report is as bad as, you know, the one for George Santos, we are going full steam ahead and we're going to expel this guy. So they're coming up with the plans, right? They've got their contingencies. They're gonna make sure that if this report comes out and shows bad things like Kevin McCarthy's already teased, then they're not gonna waste any time in kicking Matt Gaetz out of Congress.

Now, this report actually came out roughly the same time that a report from CNN came out and exclusive, saying that the House Ethics Committee has now started calling witnesses, witnesses in the Gates investigation. So what does it mean when they start calling witnesses? Glad I asked that question for you. Here's what happens in investigations, criminal investigations of any kind before you start talking to people, you know, you know, we're not talking about the TV crime dramas that immediately bring in the suspects. That ain't what happens. What happens is that you gather evidence first, you look at the facts, you look at the available information, and then you say, okay, we have pieces of a puzzle here. Now we have to start putting this puzzle together in order to put the puzzle together. We need the people who took the picture to come in and do it.

Those are the witnesses. So we're at that stage. That is a huge development. That is a big progression in this investigation, right? Like we've got evidence now, and now these people are going to come in and put it together for us by corroborating what the evidence says. And if we're missing any pieces of this puzzle, we believe these witnesses are going to be able to provide us with those pieces to complete the picture. Now, we don't know who the witness is. Um, according to the reports we do know, it is likely not. Joel Greenberg, who was, uh, referred to repeatedly in the media as Matt Gaetz's Wingman. He's currently serving an 11 year sentence. He did of course, work very closely with the DOJ for many, many, many months. His lawyer, when Matt Gaetz was not charged, came out and said, this is insane. We gave you all this evidence and you're not gonna charge him. That's not right. He committed crimes basically,

Is what, uh, Greenberg's lawyer said. Uh, we don't know if it is the young woman who at the age of 17 Gates allegedly took on these uh, trips with him. Uh, we also know, by the way, and this is a new development too that I hadn't known about, that Gates is also being investigated for potentially misusing campaign funds. Now, that is one I had not heard of, but that is in this report. Um, yeah, misuse of campaign funds along with obviously, uh, the sexual misconduct, illicit drug use. Um, so there's a lot happening here. And again, the investigation has expanded and the misuse of campaign funds is a good piece of evidence for that because that's not necessarily something we had heard about from the DOJs investigation, but apparently, again, with the evidence the House Committee has put together, they believe that's where this is headed.

So, you know, we, we, we've seen receipts, we've seen the Venmo payments and all that. Now the question is were those actually campaign funds? Uh, oh, that could be a real problem for Matt. So we'll find out when the committee releases its final report. Maybe Matt Gaetz did nothing wrong at all. Maybe he's just a guy that's in the wrong place at the wrong time. So again, we'll find out when it all comes out.
