Fox News Guest Makes Dumbest Political Prediction Ever On Live TV

Fox News contributor and former Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz made a very bold and completely reality-free prediction about Independent voters in 2024. Chaffetz said on live TV that Independents are likely going to go in favor of Republicans next year because, as he put it, Republicans "look like the adults in the room." This comment came just days after a new report showed that the Republican-controlled Congress has passed fewer bills than any Congress in decades, proving there is nothing "adult" about them. Fox News contributor and former Republican congressman Jason Chaffetz appeared on Fox News late last week alongside guest host Kellyann Conway, for some reason where Chaffetz made one of the dumbest political predictions I think I have ever seen in my life, and it wasn't just a dumb political prediction, but it was a dumb prediction based on something that's not even real. Chaffe predicted that independent voters in the year 2024, in next year's election, these independent voters are somehow going to break for Republicans and therefore obviously keep Republicans in power. And he says that this is going to happen because it's very obvious to, uh, these independent voters out there that Republicans are, as he put it, the adults in the room. Let me read you his statement. I think true independents, people who are concerned about our country, they go in favor of Donald Trump because the Republicans right now look like the adults in the room.

They're the ones talking about principles and fairness, not the Democrats. Yep. I gotta tell you, independent voters across the country, they've, they've clearly been saying this in polls like, we don't care about the economy or immigration or abortion. No, no, no. We care about who is talking about fairness, right? Oh wait, I'm sorry. Literally no poll has shown any of that.. What voters do know, by the way, uh, Jason, is that Republicans are launching clearly politically motivated investigations trying to take down President Biden take down his son. Uh, the public understands that yes, this is pure partisan politics behind those investigations in the house. So they don't see the Republicans as the adults in the room. They see the Republicans as people who are completely incapable of governing. And what's even funnier to me about Mr. Chaffin's comments here is the fact that about a day or two before Chaffe made these comments, a brand new report came out from Axios showing that this year, this year, the Republican controlled House of Representatives passed fewer bills than any other, uh, first year legislature in decades, possibly centuries, possibly ever. The fewest ever. 2020 is the number of pieces of legislation that passed both the House and the Senate this past year. That's it. Previous congresses that were labeled as quote, do nothing Congresses, we've all heard that label still managed to pass no fewer than 70 pieces of legislation. This year, the Republicans gave us 20 and nearly all of them were on budget related issues to, you know, just keep the government

Running. A couple of 'em had to do with, oh, let's rename this, you know, post office here, let's honor this person here. Not a thing, Jason, to actually improve the lives of American citizens across the country. So when the public looks at Congress, they're not looking at them and saying, well, these Republicans are really the adults in the room. They're looking at them and they're understanding these folks haven't done all year. They suck. They don't know how to do their jobs. All they're giving us is just investigation here, investigation there. We gotta look at this guy. We gotta look at this one. The public's getting, Jason. And that's why your little prediction that these independent voters are gonna somehow break for Donald Trump might genuinely be one of the dumbest things I have heard this entire year. And keep in mind, this entire year, we have heard nothing but stupid things from Republicans. But here comes Jason Chaffe right at the end of the year to say, hold your beer, hold my beer, because I swear I can say something dumber than anything else you've heard this year. So good job, Jason. You might just be the dumbest person of 2023.
