Trump Allies Had To Be Told To Stop Talking Like Hitler

Both before and after the election this year, the Trump campaign had to get onto their allies that were in the media talking about his deportation plans to tell them to STOP saying that they were going to put people in "camps." The campaign was worried that these allies were starting to sound a little too much like Adolph Hitler, and that's not the image they wanted to portray to the public. Things have to be really bad if you have to be reminded to not sound like Hitler, as Farron Cousins explains.

You know, things are going badly for you when you have to tell your staffers and your friends and allies to stop talking like Nazis. But according to a new report from Rolling Stone, that is exactly what the Trump transition team has had to tell all of Donald Trump's potential nominees, his allies, the people representing him in media, they're telling them, you guys are using Nazi words and, uh, you know, really not good for us. Here's what Rolling Stone reported Trump's migrant expulsion program. If he were to follow through with his plans to deport, millions would require massive new camps. Something that Trump's top policy hand has explicitly told reporters, but openly describing these camps as camps invites supremely negative historical comparisons. Some top Trump advisors get so annoyed when the media refers to as publicly detailed immigration crackdown plans as including camps that they've cautioned the president-elect allies and surrogates to stop using the word camps during the current presidential transition. According to two sources, familiar with the situation, I have received some guidance to avoid terms like camps that can be twisted and used against the president. Yes. Says one close Trump ally. Apparently some people think it makes us look like Nazis.

Some people think that us saying we're gonna round people up and put them in camps. Some people think that makes us sound like Nazis. I mean, could you imagine? Just because we wanna round up people based on their ethnicity and put them in camps. Yeah. That's totally not like a Nazi at all, right? I mean, we're not Hitler, right? Are we the baddies? Yeah, you are. I'm not saying you are Hitler. I'm not even saying you are Nazis, but you are the bad guys. This is not what a civilized society does. This is not what good people do. And on top of that, your own people, including Stephen Miller, who's gonna be Donald Trump's, you know, uh, deputy Chief of staff on policy continuously refers to these things as camps, which of course, rolling Stone pointed out. Miller himself was routinely and specifically using the word camps to describe what he and his boss wanted the military to build. Should they retake power in 2024. He said it a lot since a Trump 2024 official who's known Miller for years. If you know Steven, you know why he didn't have a problem with it? Yikes. That's kind of giving up the game and throwing your friend under the bus, right? Being like, and if you know this guy, you know that he is a huge racist. So yeah, that's why he's saying the word camps. Not a good luck. Anyway, according to the New York Times, Miller said the new camps would likely

Be built on open land in Texas near the border. He said the military would construct them under the authority and control of the Department of Homeland Security. While he cautioned that, there were no specific blueprints yet, he said the camps would look professional and similar to other facilities from migrants that have been built near the border. Well, that's nice, right? You'd be in a nice building, or at least it's gonna look nice on the outside. I mean, the inside is still essentially a, you know, tamer version of a concentration camp. But the outside, I gotta tell you, whoa, architectural genius there. So, you know, when you pull up, you get to see a nice building before we lock you away and then deport you. Thi this is insanity. I, I, honest to God, three weeks ago, if you told me I'd be sitting here talking about this, I would've said, you are insane. No. What are you talking about? This isn't gonna be a thing, but it is a thing. This is our future. This is our reality. And it's a reality that the Trump transition team understands. And that's why they're telling people, Hey, stop using the word camps. No, they're camps. You're gonna round up people and lock them away based on their ethnicity.
