Matt Gaetz Gets The Most Predictable New Job Imaginable

Since his first day in elected office, it was obvious that Matt Gaetz was more concerned about being famous than he was about being a serious legislator, and that's why his new job is not surprising at all. According to their website, Matt Gaetz will be hosting a new primetime show on One America News called "The Matt Gaetz Show." Gaetz finally has everything that he wants, and now we know what his wife's teasing tweet was all about. Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Ever since Matt Gaetz won his very first election right here in my district. I said from the very beginning that all he wants to do is be famous. He had an obsession with going on TV as frequently as he could. In fact, uh, uh, the studio would frequently call us over at our Ring of Fire Studios wanting to use them for Gates to come in. He eventually started using one at a restaurant down the street, and then he built his own in his house. He started his podcast. But all Gates ever wanted to do was have his stupid face on tv. And now that he's unemployed, his wish has finally come true. It was announced this week that Matt Gaetz is going to be the host of the, uh, cleverly titled the Matt Gaetz show. I, I wonder how long they spent coming up with that one.

But anyway, he's gonna be hosting the Matt Gaetz show on the conservative Media Outlet, one America News. This is apparently going to be a primetime show. So Matt Gaetz is officially getting everything he ever wanted, which was to see himself on TV every single day. To be perfectly honest with you, I would much rather have Matt Gaetz on television than serving in Congress as my representative. So I'm okay with this. Like, this is wonderful. Go out there, say your stupid stuff every day to an audience that may not even really exist, right? Because let's be honest here, if you're a conservative and you get into conservative media and you're immediately relegated to one America News, that means that most people are not taking you seriously. You know, was Fox News blowing up your phone, Matt, like, Hey dude, come on. We gotta get you on.

We gotta get you a show. You'd be great. Apparently not even newsmax, which is a step down from Fox News, but still ahead of One America, Newsmax didn't want you. The Daily Wire didn't want you. The daily caller didn't want you turning points. USA didn't want you. So instead you're relegated to One America News canoes. Ouch. I mean, honestly, you'd probably be better off just staying unemployed at that point. You could go stand on a street corner yelling at people and reach more people than you will from one America man. But hey, you do your thing, right? You got a job, which is great 'cause you were outta work for just a little bit there, and you landed on your feet, and I'm sure they're gonna give you an astronomical salary that you don't deserve to talk about things that you don't quite understand. But this is the logical conclusion to the Matt Gaetz saga. It really is, again, from the beginning over at Ring of Fire, I said repeatedly, he just wants to be famous. He just wants to be on tv. I even suggested at one point that if a conservative outlet were to offer him a job,

He'd resign a seat from Congress and immediately go start to work for them. So once again, I'm gonna pat myself on the back for that because it turns out I was 100% correct. The big question of course, though, is what does this mean for his gubernatorial aspirations? As we all know, Matt Gaetz is, uh, I guess still considering running for governor of the State of Florida once. Ron DeSantis term ends in 2026. So is he gonna leave one America to go run for governor here in Florida? Maybe, maybe not. But in the meantime, if you're a glutton for punishment in the very near future, you'll just be able to turn on One America News and watch Matt Gaetz every evening to get your daily dose of what's not actually happening in this country.
