Serial Loser Kari Lake In Line For Top Job In Trump Administration

Repeat election loser Kari Lake is apparently going to continue to fail upwards if current reporting is to be believed. Semafor is reporting that Lake is currently the frontrunner to receive the coveted and incredibly important role as ambassador to Mexico which would make her the go-between on issues like immigration and tariffs. This might actually be the dumbest decision that Donald Trump has made so far, and that's saying a lot. Farron Cousins explains what this would mean.

Even though she maintains that she did not lose her Senate race this year, and she of course did not lose the gubernatorial race two years ago. Kari Lake is now primed for a position within the Trump administration. And unfortunately for all of America, the position that Donald Trump is currently considering Lake for, and according to reports, she is the front runner to receive, would be ambassador to Mexico, which means Kari Lake would be the go-between, between the Trump administration and the Mexican government. Kari Lake is the one that is going to have to negotiate about tariffs. She's the one that's gonna have to ha take that hard line stance about immigration. Trump is trusting Kari Lake, a woman who cannot win an election to save her life with the two most important issues that he campaigned on tariffs and immigration. Now, lake herself has described the southern border and the immigration into the United States as quote an invasion, which echoes the comments that Donald Trump has, of course also made about it.

So her and Trump are on the same page on it, and Donald Trump maintains that his tariffs are the smartest thing in the world. So when you're sending an idiot who doesn't know what they're doing down there to kind of be the go between to maybe prevent the tariffs from happening, maybe get Mexico to not let all these people come across the border, Nope, that's, that's what Kari Lake is supposed to do if she gets this job, of course, but she can't do that. Like what in Kari Lake's history indicates any kind of competency at all, like, not even necessarily on these issues. Where is her competency? Where has she succeeded? Right. I mean, obviously electorally speaking, she has been an abject failure, a serial campaign loser. Uh, she's done very well for herself on the conservative speaking racket, but I mean, hell, who doesn't? Right? You guys will put any moron up on stage. But in terms of handling foreign policy with, you know, our closest neighbor, the country that Donald Trump has repeatedly antagonized and basically said, we're gonna bring the hammer down on you and we're gonna have Ka lake enforcing that we're screwed. Like, I don't think I can explain to you how much we are screwed, but if you had any hope, then maybe we weren't gonna get those 25% tariffs on all the goods coming from Mexico. I think that hope is dead now. And by the way,

The folks online have some pretty funny things to say about Lake being possibly chosen as the ambassador to Mexico. A reporter for the Libertarian magazine reason said quote, tell me you're not serious about negotiating with Mexico over trade or immigration without telling me a, uh, a councilman from Bridgeport, Pennsylvania said, how is she going to have time to do this when she's already governor and senator from Arizona? Which is a good point because again, lake maintains that she totally won those elections, but obviously did not if she's considering taking this job. Another critic said, when America sends its people, they're not sending their best, which is very accurate, and of course a callback to Donald Trump's statement from his 2015 presidential campaign. But either way, lake is not a serious person. She's not a foreign policy expert. She is somebody that is just being chosen again, assuming she gets the nomination. 'cause right now this is just reported, maybe it won't happen. Maybe she won't get confirmed, or maybe we're gonna have one of the most incompetent people inside of the Republican party in charge of negotiating foreign policy with the country that Donald Trump seems to clearly hate. Either way, probably gonna end worse for the United States than it does for Mexico.
