3:43Now PlayingTrump’s Great American State Fair keeps getting more embarrassing as videos show empty crowds, deserted performances, and a taxpayer-funded spectacle that appears to be humiliating the president instead of celebrating the country. Farron Cousins breaks this down.

I hope everybody has been on social media. And I know that's a weird thing to say because typically I hate social media, but I hope everybody has been on social media following the videos that people are posting of the great American State Fair and the complete and total lack of human beings in the audience. I mean, at this point, I'm starting to feel sorry for the musicians that are actually showing up and and playing on stage for the grass. Uh Jordan Uhl has been posting some really really great uh clips of how dead it is over there. Midas touch as well. So, uh, if you're not following those folks over on, uh, I follow them on Instagram, please do so because it is beyond hilarious that this thing is actually getting worse as it goes on.
Like, I get opening day, day after, nobody's there yet. You know, crowds got to build up over time. It's getting worse by the day. At this point, I honestly don't even know if anybody's going to show up on Saturday for the actual Fourth of July fireworks event, Donald Trump's rally speech. Uh, it kind of seems like that would actually be a big old turnoff and a waste of $16 million, which of course is what we spent. Donald Trump took money from the National Park Service, $16 million, just to buy fireworks to go off after his upcoming speech this Saturday that nobody's going to be at. And as I brought up the other day, people can't afford to go there. People do not have money right now. I know Donald Trump thinks he can give us the circuses part, but you also have to give people the bread part, right?
It's bread and circuses, not bread or circuses. But this whole thing was supposed to be a celebration of America. Bring everybody together. Let's try to celebrate in spite of the fact that everything is going to pot. But nope, it didn't happen. And this is just yet another massive failure for Donald Trump. And I'm loving every second of it, folks. Yes, it is a giant big old waste of our tax dollars, and that sure does suck. I don't like wasting our tax dollars on anything. But at the same time, the price tag for this, the price tag uh for Donald Trump's humiliation, I'm willing to pay it. I'm willing to allow my tax dollars to go out there and humiliate Donald Trump. I would much prefer obviously for them to go somewhere else to feed the hungry uh to house the needy. But we know they're not going to do that. So the consolation prize silver lining I guess is that our tax dollars are being used to humiliate Donald Trump who of course is being forced to retreat more and more into isolation into pure delusion to cope with the fact that nobody wanted to show up to his big stupid America 250 party.
