By showing we all agree that you can't even steal a $2 loaf of bread from another human if you are starving, yet you can kill a baby animal and eat it- shows the vastly different way we all treat humans and animals in situations.
So when vegans make the argument that we must treat animals with the certain rights as humans, due to the fact they both have a sentience trait- this is a flawed argument based on the vast differences we all treat the 2 groups. We don't treat the 2 the same in practically any situation- both vegans and non-vegans
What vegans don't understand, is our agreement not to kill each other- that is the exception, and killing for survival use is an essential act needed to survive. The only way humans can possibly thrive, is to have this exception agreement. Extending it to animals in no way helps with the vital goal of the exception-for humans to thrive, and make life worthwhile.
Humans have an agreement of non-aggression. It's not voluntary, you have to abide by it. It's absolutely necessary for us to thrive as a species. It's why me make an exception and dont kill . No such agreement with animals. If it's beneficial to kill you, and they can kill you, they will. (2" tall) also, where are you in the most danger to be killed by an animal? Maybe croc infested waters? Funny how the situation where animals are most able to kill you, and it's most beneficial to kill you, is also the situation will they will most likely kill you.
