The fight in the courtroom isn’t over who strangled 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan on the evening of Jan. 24, 2023–instead, it’s about Lindsay Clancy’s mental state while doing it. The Commonwealth is arguing that Clancy was not in a psychosis, but instead, someone “who acted intentionally, rationally, and swiftly to accomplish a very specific goal—to kill.” Clancy’s team maintains that she didn’t get the medication or postpartum treatment that she needed, and was suffering from postpartum psychosis when killing her kids. Dr. Andrea Raby, DO, board-certified psychiatrist and mental health advisor for Prickly Pear Health, joins “Forbes True Crime” to discuss postpartum psychosis.
