YouTube Description
as posted by the channelChristiaan Beek, is currently a threat hunter and lead scientist of the advanced threat research team at McAfee. But while today he helps thousands of organizations and consumers around the world defend themselves against cyber-criminals, Christiaan did not start out as a cyber-threat hero. In fact, he started out as a black hat hacker when he was only a teenager - learning his hacking skills through bulletin boards and magazines.
After a stint in the Royal Dutch Navy, where he had access to advanced technology, Christiaan discovered that he could make a living off a passion that starts as an interest: hacking. The skills he developed and gained during his teenage years would result in making cyber-security his profession – he joined the Dutch “ethical hacking” team, set up a forensics team in EMEA, and was even asked to write a chapter for an updated edition of “Hacking Exposed”. Now he leads one of the most sophisticated threat research teams in the global cyber-security industry.
