In a recent study conducted by university psychologists at the U.K. universities of Bath, Bath Spa and Exeter, researchers asked 8,000 people the same questions in 33 countries around the world across 6 continents. A majority of people in 86% of these countries said they could “achieve their absolutely ideal lives” with $10 million (£8.6m) or less. (The question focused on how much money they would consider to be enough if they won the lottery.)

These research conclusions might challenge the notion that people are yearning for 'unlimited wants'.
