By being a handsome, dancing TikTok teen, Ontario-born Josh Richards attracted millions of fans. He’s managed to parlay his teen heartthrob status into a content empire. He cohosts Barstool podcast BFFs with Barstool founder Dave Portnoy. He’s also the cofounder of energy drink Ani and VC firm Animal Capital, which has $17 million in funding and is raising a $40 million round now. Last month he announced a partnership with Amazon in which he’ll be a brand ambassador, producer and creator for the giant’s streaming service. He has been the chief strategy officer of controversial social platform Triller, though he says he’s had no involvement in the company’s reported lack of payments to Black creators.
