For this iteration, Bentley fully embraced an all-hybrid powertrain strategy, retiring the iconic 12-cylinder engine in favor of a V8 that offers either a hybrid or a potent Plug-in Electric Hybrid (PHEV) variant. The PHEV edition stands out as the most powerful Bentley ever built, generating an astonishing 771 horsepower. The electric powertrain allows for an impressive 45 to 47 miles of all-electric range before the gas engine engages, yet even when the electric range is depleted, it cleverly reserves a certain amount of electricity, ensuring the full 771 horsepower boost remains available at all times.
The Flying Spur, a mid-sized sedan, is exceptionally comfortable for all occupants, including rear-seat passengers, making it ideal for both short drives and long journeys. The rear seat is a sanctuary of luxury, offering surprisingly spacious legroom, door-mounted seat controls with memory, and indulgent massaging seats. Additional rear amenities include pop-down vanity mirrors, micro suede headrests, and a center console with USB ports and cupholders, with an optional cool box or champagne chiller available.
