Public Statement: Government Retaliation, Kwame Kilpatrick’s Release, and the Call for Truth

We have seen this movie play out time and time again that the government does not always tell

the truth—especially when it comes to people who threaten the status quo. Look at the history

of government surveillance and targeting: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., John Lennon, Albert

Einstein, Marcus Garvey, Timothy Leary, Terence McKenna and Lucille Ball are only a few

examples of individuals who had FBI files and or charges unjustly brought against them for

challenging societal norms. And today, we see the same thing happening with those who stand

against government overreach, or even worse, the tragic cases of George Floyd, Brianna Taylor

and MANY others who have lost their lives due to racism and excessive force.

The media should serve as the unbiased voice that informs the public. It’s time to seek the truth,

tell the truth, and hold those in power accountable.

The media today can be large corporations or a single person with a camera and a knack for

research.

As the founder of Soul Tribes International Ministries and the House of Shu, I call upon the

media to uncover the truth behind the government’s actions against me. The coordinated efforts

between the City of Detroit and federal agencies to target me and our ministry began after I

played a pivotal role in securing Kwame Kilpatrick’s early release. Since that time, we have

faced illegal raids, multiple government investigations, and relentless scrutiny—none of which

are about justice, but about political retaliation and silencing the healing work we do. Pay

attention to what’s really going on and research it.

Soul Tribes Ministries is dedicated to addressing the mental health crisis and the opioid

epidemic through innovative therapies, including sacred plant medicine and spiritual healing

from our Creator. Our The House of Shu YouTube channel, with over 100 healing videos,

serves as a resource for those seeking mental and spiritual transformation. As a part of our

ministry focus, we brought Proposal E to the citizens of the City of Detroit to decriminalize the

use of psychedelics for religious and therapeutic purposes. Proposal E was overwhelmingly

passed in 2021. Instead of honoring this legal ordinance, our church was illegally raided, shut

down and vandalized. To date, our ministry has over 200 members who believe in the power of

healing plant medicine and other shamanic spiritual practices. Based upon my own

transformative journey of healing from trauma and pain, this is my life mission. I have in the past

remained silent for fear of ridicule or retribution, but this has never worked. So I am speaking

out now.

The public needs to know the truth. Too often, misinformation, distortion and government

narratives go unchallenged, and people accept what they are told without questioning the facts.

The media and community must rise above political pressure or clickbait motives and

investigate thoroughly:

• Examine the illegal raid on Soul Tribes Ministries and the violation of our First

Amendment and Religious Freedom rights.​

• Look into the federal investigations and their timing, specifically after Kwame

Kilpatrick’s release. Why have multiple federal agencies aggressively pursued me since then?

• Expose the political motivations behind these attacks, and report THE TRUTH

about this and those who advocate for justice and reform.

We are all aware that pushing negative narratives sells. What about promoting the narratives of

truth, healing, love, transformation, deliverance, peace, joy and unity? It is my prayer that we

can begin this process as a new tribe growing together.
