YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe contractors behind the deadly Florida bridge collapse have also worked on several projects in North Texas, but nothing similar to that pedestrian bridge.
Munilla Construction Management has an office in Irving and was the primary contractor for the expansion of U.S. Highway 75 in Collin County.
That project started in 2014. It was to widen the six-lane freeway to eight lanes from Spring Creek Parkway to State Highway 121. It included improving frontage roads and ramps.
The company's website also indicates it did concrete bridge repairs as part of the project.
MCM has an office in Irving on Greenway Drive. Workers there said they are not making any comment regarding the company, its work in North Texas or on the Florida bridge collapse.

The North Texas office referred FOX 4 to its Miami headquarters for comment, where the only response thus far is a recorded message that expresses condolences to the victims' families.
Regarding MCM projects in North Texas, TxDOT said it has “been proactively inspecting bridges in Texas for nearly 40 years. All public-use bridges in the state which carry vehicular traffic undergo periodic routine safety inspections every 24 months.”
TxDOT also says MCM has other projects underway, including in Denton County with work estimated to go on until the year 2020.
It is important to note that MCM is one of several contractors involved in these highway projects.
