2:16Now PlayingGrand Prairie Police Department officer A.J. Castaneda has died after being involved in a crash on President George Bush Turnpike Friday morning.
Police say the crash happened at 10:30 a.m., near Dickey Rd. A police spokeserson said the officer was outside his unit running radar when he was hit and killed.
The officer involved was injured and taken to a hospital in Arlington. Police announced a few hours later that he had died from his injuries.
