Prosecution gives opening statement in trial of father accused of murdering two daughters in 2008. Irving police said the father was upset that the girls were dating and dating non-Muslims.

A Dallas jury unanimously found Yaser Said guilty of killing his two teen daughters, Sarah and Amina Said.

Judge Chika Anyiam sentenced Said to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Prosecutors claim in a 911 call from the night of the murders, Sarah said her father was attacking her.

Said's defense attorney said he will be filing a notice to appeal.
