JUST A WEEK AGO IN THE OVAL OFFICE, PRESIDENT TRUMP SAID HE WELCOMED ELON'S MUSK CONTINUING ADVICE...NOW, PERHAPS NOT SO MUCH.
POSTING ON X, MUSK JUST SLAMMED TRUMP'S BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL: I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.
SCHUMER says: “I agree with Elon Musk.”
DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS WERE THRILLED, HAPPY TO HAMMER THE WEDGE BETWEEN MUSK AND TRUMP OVER THE BIG TAX CUT AND SPENDING BILL MAKING ITS WAY THROUGH CONGRESS.
IN REALITY, MUSK WANTS LESS SPENDING AND DEMOCRATS WANT MORE, BUT MUSK'S CRITICISM RESONATES WITH FISCAL CONSERVATIVES WHO WORRY ABOUT PILING ON TO THE NATIONAL DEBT.
PAUL says: “They're planning on spending $5 billion they don't have, and I'm just not for that.”
AND THE WHITE HOUSE SAYS MUSK'S OPPOSITION WON'T STOP THE PRESIDENT.
LEAVITT says : “Look, the president already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill. It doesn't change the president's opinion. This is one big, beautiful bill and he's sticking to it.”
AND FROM MUSK, PERHAPS A WARNING TO REPUBLICANS IN THE HOUSE WHO HAVE ALREADY PUSHED THROUGH THE BILL.
Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.
AND WHILE MUSK HAS SAID HE WOULD SPEND LESS TIME IN POLITICS, HE COULD STILL PLAY A BIG ROLE IN NEXT YEAR'S MIDTERM ELECTIONS.
