as posted by the channelPolice believe speed played a role in a crash Sunday night in Tottenville that killed three teenagers.
Authorities say the driver of a black SUV was traveling east on Hylan Boulevard and turning left on Richard Avenue when a Mustang speeding west on Hylan slammed into it.
Two passengers in the Mustang were ejected, police say. Two girls, 15 and 16, and a boy, 15, died.
The Mustang’s driver, a 16-year-old boy, is in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
Early this morning a woman came to retrieve a pair of black shoes sitting at the base of a pole at the crash site. She and a man with her did not want to speak to reporters. They got into a white car and drove away.
