YouTube Description
as posted by the channelA major new study published in JAMA suggests that moderate consumption of coffee and tea may be linked to a lower risk of dementia.
Researchers followed more than 130,000 adults for decades and found that people who drank caffeinated coffee and tea had a lower risk of developing dementia compared to those who drank little or none. The strongest associations were seen among people who consumed about 2–3 cups of coffee or 1–2 cups of tea per day.
The study also found links between moderate caffeine intake and better cognitive performance over time. However, researchers stress that the findings show an association — not proof that coffee or tea prevents dementia.
As always, experts recommend moderation and speaking with your doctor about what’s right for your health.
