1:07Now PlayingThe U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Hawaiian Volcano Observatory released footage showing a tower of lava erupting from the latest episode at Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano on Tuesday.
The USGS says Kīlauea is one of the world's most active volcanoes and, since December 23, 2024, has been intermittently erupting within the summit caldera in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. The USGS has cameras set up around Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to capture the volcanic activity.
