1:38Now PlayingThe D.C. region saw rain fall by the buckets this week, and it took us back to some significant floods of the past that our area as experienced.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2003: Old Town Alexandria flooded, and Hurricane Isabel was to blame. The Potomac River spilled into Old Town, and residents needed canoes and kayaks to navigate King Street. Many trees were knocked down, blocking streets and neighborhoods.
