State officials said Rayshard Davon Shield, 32, hit the trooper’s patrol vehicle while the trooper was checking on a vehicle parked along Branch Avenue. The trooper was taken to the hospital and later released, officials said.
Shield faces impaired driving and other traffic-related charges, officials said.
