3:02Now PlayingThree Rivers Park District is looking for citizen scientists. There are events throughout August and September that aids in researching an endangered species. The park system will be training visitors on how to catch and tag Monarch Butterflies. The butterflies will soon be leaving on their 2,000-mile journey to Mexico and tagging them can help scientists understand their travel patterns and protect the habitats they visit along the way. These events happen all across the metro and you do need to sign up ahead of time to attend.
