1:19Now PlayingFor the second time in two days, Minneapolis police say they are investigating an armed robbery spree in the city.
Monday night into the overnight hours, police say there were eight robberies. On Sunday, there were five robberies in the matter of just 15 minutes.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara says the suspects stole a Kia Sportage on Monday evening and used it in the initial robberies. Later, a BMW was taken in a carjacking that was used for the other incidents.
"We have identified consistent patterns and similarities in suspect descriptions and the vehicles involved," explained O'Hara on Tuesday. "Our investigators are working to determine if the two sprees are connected, and believe the suspects involved are juveniles already known to law enforcement."
