They found Gerald, a surprisingly friendly raccoon, who "decided to act more like a K9 than a critter!" according to the Lakeville Police Department. Gerald followed officers around and even hopped into the squad car on command.
The playful raccoon was safely taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center.
